It was that time that had been planned for for a while . Mathias was excited. Ever since last year it hads been planned he would move in the house of the father of his girlfriend Selena Lancaster. From the time they met at the youth club in Brummagem he'd fallen for her, how could he not? There was just something different about her.She was outgoing, funny , witty and kind.Only later when he asked if he could go out and told James who it was did he realise how rich and important she was.
Never had he imagined he would be moving country , striking out on his own at 17 . He'd been looking forward to the holidays for the transfer to his new school. He was nervous about the transfer though this was the first elite private school he'd been to. How would the kids react to him? He didn't come across as a typical billionaires kid, still at least he had Selena. They set off in the car and it wasn't until 18:00 he arrived in Alexandria with his dad who was also nervous and excited, his first kid getting independence. They approached the gates of Silas's house Mathias saw Selena, the car stopped at the gate.

Selena was very happy tonight, Mathias would be moving in with her and her family would be transferring to study at St. Vincents Imperial Academy with her father's help. She was treading back and forth at the front gate, and a car had pulled up to the gat and she could not wait. She ran up to the gate and open the door and gave him a huge hug.

Seeing his love was fantastic and now he'd be blessed to see her everyday as she ran to hug him he got ready and hugged her , Mathias was just too excited. James saw Silas and greeted him saying "Silas ya bastard you better look after my son ." Jokingly and with wink and then went over and shook his hand.

"James my friend come in, let me pour you a drink, we have much to discuss" he smiled and patted his friend on the back escorting him in, after the kids. Silas moved to the kitchen where his wife Elena was cooking.
"Welcome to our home James," she moved over to him gave him a kiss on the cheek, and went back to the kitchen. "I am cooking, if you would stay for dinner that would be lovely."
"Here my friend," Silas passed him a glass of red wine, "Your son is safe with me, just promise me he doesn't give us grandchildren until they get married and you will see him again." He said jokingly.

James chuckled at Silas's joke and accepted the offer of dinner. He said "Dinner would be wonderful I always look forward to your dinners and indeed we have much to discuss. I surprised Mathias today with a small amount of shares now he's becoming an independent man. So proud!". He then signalled for Silas to go to another room which they did. He said to Silas "look I love Mathias and know he is mature but he's never had hundreds of millions a year before or been on the board. Could you guide him a little while he gets used to this level of wealth, of course I've taught him financial planning but I know how hard it is suddenly getting an influx of new money" He trusted Silas more than anyone to advise Mathias after all he'd built Occulus from the ground up and built the biggest company in Selvaris who better to help a young man grow his money.
Meanwhile Mathias was unpacking, this house was big he'd never lived in such a big house before and he knew he would have to buy a car to get around. He got help from Selena with his luggage before dinner was to be served already he was feeling like this was home, he always loved the warm greeting of the family, even though he'd only been going out 2 years every time he met them they treated him like a member of the family .Another thing he appreciated was not being bothered by people in the elites here, sure some knew him but it was his ~Finn and Amaziah that were more well known after they had a appeared in news and media some for less positive reasons. He still missed his brother Emmanuel every day since he died in the bombings on that terrible day but then that feeling may never go away and what was worse was trying to support his other brother Amaziah who felt guilty for being alive and having organised the trip out with his Brother and nephew and feeling guilty for the deafness. Truth be told he felt guilty for dropping them off at the station. Still he had to move on with his life and hopefully this new chapter abroad would be good for them.

Selena was helping Mathia unpack and she could see in his eyes he was happy to be here but she could also sense that he was missing something or someone. She hugged his arm for a bit pulling him close and closed her eyes. "Mom is making lasagna tonight," she said hushedly, she then let go of him. "I know you miss him. But is a big chapter for both of us. You will be starting in a new school, an Elite school most of all and my Singing Career is making much progress. Don't be nervous, scared, or sad. I am here and so is my family, even though they are in a different country from now on they still love you and we can visit and they can as well." She put her hand on his chest above his hurt, "And remember Emmanuel will always be in here wherever you go." She smiled stood up and grabbed him by the arm. "Dinner smells ready." She said.
"Of course my friend. Anything for the young boy. Also, everything is set for him in St. Vincents, he will be in business and consumer science. He will be taken by the rail every day and picked up by the limo every afternoon." Silas said as he took a drink of his wine. He could see Elena making her way with plates and all to the dining room.
"Dinner is ready boys she smiled, please kid the lovebirds." She said jokingly, but they were already coming down the hallway stairs. "Dinner is ready you two." She said smiling.
"Thank you, mom," Selena said making her way to the dining room table.

Mathias listened and accepted the hug. He replied to her "I know its stupid, but I kinda feel guilty too. I took him to his death, I dropped him off on that train, if I didn't drop him off or was later he'd be alive and Hosea would have his hearing still. I feel like a shit brother sometimes. I just hope I can move on here without all the Duchies stuff." He looked forward to being involved more with selena and her music then he suggested "Why don't you tour with one of Finns bands, it may help you both by getting you both new audiences to be exposed to." Then dinner was ready quick they went to the table with James already having sat down.

Selena was starting to feel down on all the negative Mathias was feeling but she can understand regret. After all her family makes so many stops and changes for her music career, she is quite grateful for them, but she feels sorry that their lives are changing with hers. Mathias then suggested a tour with his cousin Finn. "That would be nice," She said then they sat down at the table and did prayer. And began to eat.

He was kind of glad to have talked to Selena and glad she liked the idea of touring with his cousin Finn.They heard the call for dinner and went to dinner and the food was so good. Mathias complimented Elena saying "Mamma Mia this is good Spaghetti Bolognese" . He took each bite slowly savouring the food. He was looking forward to going to his new school and hoped people would not care nor know about his background as a billionaires kid , he just wanted to be treated normally.
After dinner he approached Silas about therapy. He said to Silas "I thought moving here would change everything and it has honestly its lovely but I think I need therapy for Emmanuels death. All I can do is think of him and miss him and think of how I could have prevented it if I was just later or didn't take them. I thought I could face it without therapy but I can't I'm too weak, I need help"

Selena went upstairs to finish fixing up what use to be the guest room ism but now would belong telling myself it was my fault. To find out later that the brake failed." He took in everything that he said and looked at Mathias, "Life is unpredictable and works in many ways, but one thing to know is we can not control it and that every action we take triggers a reaction that is not predictable. I'll get in touch with a friend we can start talking to him around next week about any issues in life. Now off with ya to your room Selena maybe there trying to get it ready for you," he finished.

After enjoying the meal and having been reassured by Silas he'd get the help he needed he saw off his Dad who was going back for work. He went to bed and had a good nights sleep, soon he would be going to School and he hoped the new students would accept him and let him into their communities.He also looked forward to the ICS Church he was going to next week , he'd already signed up to go to an ICS youth group on an evening in the week to get to know fellow ICS believers.
