Selling Cooperatives raise Minimum Price Floors on agricultural goods
The Selling Cooperatives at their annual meetings and the annual producers council have agreed to raise their Minimum Price Floors by an average of 20% over all agricultural products. This decision has affected prices of all foods and agriculture products in Duchies from wool and leather to wheat and dairy products. The average yearly spend on food and groceries is currently €8,771 Euros with the average restaurant meal at a cheap restaurant currently at €20.50 Experts have predicted this will rise to €11,403 a rise of 30% with increase in labour costs and restaurant meals for a cheap 3 course meal to rise €24.50. The cost rises however are likely to be outweighed by a growth in wages.Roscoes is said to be dissapointed by the levels of the rise which it hoped would be in the 10% range however all supermarkets are complying with the rise due to the fears of producers having a sales embargo with any supermarket that tries to undermine the the minimum price floors.
