Outside of Hotel de Luxury, Moraben, State of Jullien, Leagio

Outside of the hotel that was being monitored by a team of the Leagioan Common Agency of Crime and Terrorism (CACT), the officer in charge of the raid was watching as various vechiles were on stand by in various streets that were within 5 miles of the hotel. No chances were being taken on the possibility that someone of the BO that was inside the Hotel could have even a chance to escape from justice. There were some concerns by various members of CACT on whether or not if the staff of the hotel were in on the crime and were armed. So, with that concern, CACT was able to get a high security threat warrant through a high level Leagio Judge that hears warrants of various types. A high security threat warrant is a warrant in Leagio that allows for the use of Special Strikers to be used in Law Enforcement purposes when there is a clear and present danger in a law enforcement operation that requires military trained individuals. With this warrant, CACT could move in with some relief in knowing that if the situation gets hot then the Special Strikers were on stand by for action not far from the hotel.

“We’re all set.” Was heard from one of the radio’s.

“Move in.” Deputy Director Marcus Williams instructed from the center where the operation was being runed from.

Within seconds, various cameras from body cameras of CACT officers moving into the building in lighting speed. Everything seemed to be going smoothly at first in the first lower floors of the hotel as bystanders in the hotel were escorted out and staff of the hotel were held in protective custody until they were cleared. However, things began to change once the CACT team got up to the fourth floor as the sounds of gun fire could be heard with various individuals in black coats could be seen in the camera’s firing at the team. Screams from bystanders in the floor could be heard. Although, it seemed that there was not as firce fighting that was seen from the warehouse in Vese a while ago but it might have been cause of the element of surprise was being fully used as some of the suspects of the BO had looks of surprise of them as they used their weapons. A few of the members that were firing at CACT were shot dead but most were shot to the point to where they were just unable to resist any movement of arrest; one for example was shot in both of his hands as his was holding a dual set of pistols in them, where the CACT team skillfully aimed for those hands as best as they could.

Time continued to move forward. In the control room of the operation, there was a feeling of tension in the air that could be cut with a knife as there was concern if there was more members of the BO in the hotel and there might be the chance that they will lose a officer. Some of the terrorist experts in the room were worried if there was a bomb installed in a effort that should a situation like this happen then the bomb will destroy all of the evidence that could be found and take out all the law enforcement agents of CACT in the building. However, so far there was no signs that could be discovered through the body cameras that could even tell them that a bomb had indeed been planted in the building. However, there was still one more floor in the building left for the team to explore and there was some in the room that were guessing that there were additional BO members. At least, this was the assumption that they made. Luckily, as they got to the fifth floor though, there was not as much BO operatives. It was determined that the operatives had chosen the fourth floor as their area of running in the hotel for it provided a meeting room that was constructed by the hotel itself when it was founded decades ago.

By the end of the raid, it was determined that there was no bomb planted thankfully. All of the BO operatives that were wounded and in custody were being currently being taken to receive medical treatment, where they would be interrogated and facing heavy charges including terrorism. However, there were now questions on the outcome of the raid in the other warehouse that was outside of the city.

Green Transition Act Signed With Juncker Present

Many days after it passed both the House and Senate, President Ran Mouri-Kudo signed the Green Transition Act into law within the Commonwealth. This act was one of the important centerpieces of the President’s campaign platform. The act was based on the guidelines of the European Green Deal that Former IAC Juncker developed before leaving office due to term limits. These guidelines that he left behind were to make Europe carbon-netural by 2050, but Mouri-Kudo’s legislation is considered by some to be more bolder than even the United Duchies plan for 2035 as the Leagio plan is for carbon neutrality by 2032. The President gave a rousing speech before signing the bill into law with Juncker standing right beside her. The Act would also implement measures to incentivize companies to greener methods of production within the Commonwealth and initiate the means of implementing better procedures in developing alternative energies that are not harmful or less harmful to the environment. The policies that will be implemented through the act is expected to possibly reduce pollution within the Commonwealth by at least 20% by 2030 and 25% by 2032.

When polling was done on the national opinion of the passage of the act, about 61% of Leagioans approve of the bill while a further 31% are against it. Members of different political parties have demonstrated support for the bill, while others have not and come outright against it. Councilor Julis Haller of the Civil Populist Party gave his support for the bill by saying that it was a step in the right direction for the Environment of the Commonwealth. However, Senator Dick Doconell of the Conservative Reform Party from the State of Huttson stated that he was against the bill for places too much burden on small businesses within the Commonwealth. This statement was one expressed by other members in the Conservative Reform Party and Christian Democratic-Republicans. However, members of Common Nationalists and LUTF expressed that the Act was a socialist-leftist act made by the Haanean Refugees to take over the Commonwealth. Some of the members of the two parties had even made more colorful language on their opinions about the passage and signage of the Green Transition Act.

However, there have been some questions remaining from members of the President’s own party, the Progressive Alliance Party, on whether or not if the plan is bold for the Commonwealth to meet within such a 11 year time frame. These questions come, even though during the Presidential Debate almost more than a month where the then candidate Mouri-Kudo said that if anything her plan was not bold enough and that the Commonwealth should take on challenges for they are not easy but because they are hard.

Former Internal Affairs Commissioner, Jean-Claude Juncker, has dedicated some time to the press after the signature of the Green Transition Act: “I’m very proud and it’s an honour to be here today along with President Ran Mouri-Koudo, who has been really nice with me. This is a very important achievement for Leagio, as they are becoming a reference on how to turn greener with effort and dedication. I’m also very happy to see how the Commonwealth is evolving so fast and using the loan’s money as they promised they would use it.” He has also been asked about running for the seat of Premier Commissioner and if he would run with the European Progressive Alliance again: “About the second question, I’ll be always loyal to the EPA. And about running for Premier Commissioner, the answer is yes, I’ll run because we need a better European Union, we need to get rid of the Sanctioning Powers Act and look for new ideas to make Europe more peaceful and to accomplish the objectives we have set in 2021. It’s possible to achieve this, and I’ll try my best.”

After making his announcement on running for the position of Internal Affairs Commissioner for the European Union on the floor of the Senate in the National Congress building in Tullion, Kevin Collita began his campaign by making a trip throughout all the various countries of the European Union in convincing them to support his platform. There were many countries I plan to visit but by the end of the campaign he planned to visit at least five countries excluding his own. The first place that he was going to visit was pretty much won the hearts of the European Union and that was Spain, where he was playing to fly to the city of Madrid and give a speech. When he landed at the airport at Madrid, there were already thousands of people waiting to see him outside the airport with journalists from various different newspapers and news agencies of the Spanish nation relates to ask him all sorts of questions about his campaign and himself as well. Kevin Cotilla booked a speech at the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas within the center of the city. In the middle of the Plaza that also acts as a bull ring was a stage with a mic uptop, where Kevin walked up to the stage with claps and cheers being heard through almost every part of the city of Madrid. Kevin waved his hands in support to those people that were clapping and cheering him. Once he reached the mic, he began his speech as the crowd began to listen and hear his words.

"Citizens of Spain and citizens of Madrid, first thank you for having me here as a guest. I have never seen such a level of support in all my years in Leagioan politics I will begin by telling you what I think about the European Union. My main issue with the European Union relates mainly to the European Council, who has a voting issue that has been strongly highlighted in many different countries including my own. The European Union Council tends to vote either in high turnout for legislation that you don't agree with or hardly vote at all on measures that are essential to the rights and liberties of you as citizens and as persons of this union. These turnout issues that we've had ours so strenuous that in some legislation that is reinforced today only five or even three nations vote at all, where there might not have been a very strong debate or even a debate at all and where your counselors might be failing to uphold their oath as well as their responsibility to ensure the rights and liberties of those that they represent and the interests of the government's within your nations that work day and night to ensure that they fulfill your needs in this world. Thankfully, the people of Spain, Councilor Tusk has done an outstanding job in representing you the Spanish people and your government in upholding the Constitution and his duties."

The crowd in the audience that surrounded the senator cheered and clapped very proudly about the issues that he was brought out along with his support to their representative in the European Council.

"Another issue that coincides with our problems with the European Council is the Commission of the European Union itself. The Commission has also failed not only one's, not only twice, but multiple times to act decisively and show that they are working for you, the voters. I do not claim to know much about your country's politics as much as I know about my own, but where I come from if a politician is not being active for the nation and for their constituents then either one of two things is going to happen. One that representative is going be elected out of office in the next season or the system needs to be reformed to where we have politicians that have a direct interest to their voters in showing that they are working to uphold the values that they were elected on."

The crowd again cheered and clapped in agreement with the words that were given.

"My solution to these issues that are connected with each other is an amendment to the Constitution that no counselor seems to be advocating for. Under the current version of the Constitution of this union of European nations, the EU Commission has no power to veto an Act of legislation from the European Council no matter what the turnout of the vote is. So going back to if active legislation has only five members of the Council voting, a amendment giving the commission the power to veto it should be added. This type of amendment would force the commission to be active and be put on the spotlight to you the voters and the national governments of this union, where the commission would be forced to meet each other in a conference and decide if this act of legislation should be vetoed. This means that in the three members of the commission, they must vote on whether or not to veto. A simple majority will equate to a veto, while a tie will mean that it is also a veto. The reason why I say we should support this is so that way we, the people of the European Union, can be able to have an active system of not only checks and balances but also a separation of powers. The European Council should not be the main authority that dictates everything of this community of nations."

More claps and cheers were given from the crowd in the Plaza.

"Lastly, another issue that we have had with our commission is the lack of coordination of the current internal affairs Commissioner with all the nations of our union. Our current internal affairs Commissioner has failed to hear and discuss to the representative governments of our union and has a sign that our unity is strong. Just having someone fill in the chair is not enough to bring out support to our nations. We need new leadership in that chair and if I am elected, I will reinstate the once-a-term conferences that was started by a former Internal Affairs Commissioner, and now running for Premier Commissioner, Mr. Juncker. I will reinstate these conferences in my term as internal affairs Commissioner and discuss with every single government attending on coordinating the actions of our commission with them, where we can be able to determine the needs and issues that these governments are facing and help out in any way we can."

The crowd went wild with flowers and hats being tossed into the air some Lehman landing on the center stage beside Kevin as he waved.

"Before I end my speech, let me thank you the people of Madrid in Spain for having me here. I will continue to campaign not only for you but for all of the people of the European Union. Thank you and have a good day."

An Interview Over Moriarty's Leagioan Socialism

Over the past few weeks, he has been a person of interest in Leagioan politics. Starting out as a founder of the Uplift Foundation, a charity that provides aid to poor families, and owner of the Moriarty Diamond Corporation ( a group Diamond company that has been hitting sells at a high level)to being a founding member of the Leagio's Territorial Government of Freedonia Constitution and its new public structures that focus on welfare for the people that reside in the Territory. Right now, he is a Professor of the University of Freedonia and is now Interim President of the United People's Front Alliance. An alliance of socialist and communist parties that seem to be saner than usual these days. Now, less than a year to the 2022 Mid-Term Elections for the National Congress, people are saying that Moriarty's Alliance ( as it has been nicknamed) might be on the way to control at least the House of Councilors and have more influence in the Senate. William James Moriarty has accepted an interview on what the Far-Left to Center-Left Alliance plans. The interview was conducted with Toby Helling of the Leagioan Broadcasting Corporation. Toby Helling is an experienced interviewer in Leagioan News for the last 10 years with high mark on many events.

TH: Good evening, Professor Moriarty.

WJM: Good evening, Mr. Helling.

TH: So, we have somewhat meet before when you started the Uplift Foundation. So now, I would like to you about the founding of the United People's Front alliance. So, the Left was fractured after debates on the UNSR caused SUP to collapse in leadership. How were you able to convince the Social Workers Party to your side?

WJM: Eventually after members of the Green Party and SUP, along with myself, got tired of the division within the left side of Leagioan Politics; where our policies were sidelined and various political parties began to take advantage of our division. These same parties were also using the statements of various members of our party that spoke in values that were not representative of the people. Like one Councilor in the House who was speaking that the Democratic system was against the people when it wasn't and portrays the wrong image about the ideas of what I believe that Socialism is about.

TH: And what is that Image of Socialism?

WJM: Socialism in Leagio should be about ensuring the equality of all in wealth, work, race, and everything else. Socialism in Leagio should not be able tearing down the structure, because that has never ended well. Me and many members of the Greens and SUP feel that Socialism should work in hand with Democracy. Yes, there are times that it seems like Democracy does not want to work with Socialism but thus is the frustrations of checks and balances in a government. The people voted for the constitution that they live in and so Socialist as well as Communists factions in Leagio should respect the wishes of the people.

TH: Now, just to focus on your Leagioan Socialism Platform, could you explain that in terms of policies say in 2022 if your alliances get control of both houses of Congress democratically.

WJM: What my Leagioan Socialism platform is something that was agreed upon with various members of all three parties involved in the United People's Front alliance. The platform does moderate redistribution of wealth particularly those that have a lot of money (and mean more than even me at the moment) say like former EU Councilor Francis Plessis, who has over $900 Million Sulias at the moment from his family Diamond business. The system would allow people that earned their money to keep at a certain rate on a certain yearly income. If you make 1 million Sulia's for example, then the government would take around 150,000 Sulia's out and give to other families through Welfare and Social Security. Another policy is requiring that all non-military businesses over 25 workers to be unionized at the bare-minium. Unions of certain sizes will have certain abilities to negotiate, while smaller ones might have less bargain power but the government will act as a mediator. In addition, the government would work on the construction of various settlement projects for the urbanization of certain of the Commonwealth that will not cause serious and irreparable damage to the world environment. These projects would provide government jobs that pay well, full-time, with benefits, discounted education, and free housing to its workers. Furthermore, these jobs would even be long-term for its workers along with their families.

TH: What about foreign affairs? How would Leagioan Socialism affect nations such as the UNSR? As that was the reason for the SUP break-up and the forming of the Socialist Workers Party? And would you be running for President in 2024?

WJM: In terms of foreign affairs, the alliance strives for equality on a footing with all nations that are reasonable, fair, kind to Leagio, and does not thrive on chaos. The UNSR as you ask, well, the alliance understands why they took over in the way that they did but we feel that at the moment their version of Socialism does not match ours for obvious reasons. and so a Leagio slash UNSR diplomatic exchange would not be welcoming at the moment. Focusing on your 2024 question, the answer that I can in honesty give is that I have not fully decided on running as of yet. You might hear something about that once the 2024 Executive Primaries come about in March of 2024.

TH: I see. Now, obvious your policies might be something that the President Mouri-Kudo would not support and in order to get your Leagioan Socialism implemented after 2022 (if you somehow get both the House and Senate), how would you then convince the President to go on-board with the Alliance plans and not Veto them outright?

WJM: In response, I think that we would then need to ask the President elected by the people this question then. 'Does she, as President elected by, for, and of the people, really represent the people of the Commonwealth if she veto's a Congress elected by the people?'

TH: Thank you, Professor Moriarty.

WJM: No, thank you, Mr. Helling.

Established under the Constitution of 2020 and recently given expanded powers, the Council of Provinces made up of the Governors of all the state and territories of the Commonwealth with the Governor-General having a Chairman role in it. All members of the Council are elected every three years during the Executive Elections. The Council of Province's is not actually considered to be a third house of the National Congress nor was it intended to be. The purpose of the Council was to be an advisory body outside of the Federal/Common Government of the Leagio, where all of the Commonwealth's states and Territories have a chance to officially loge their issues for mediation. Until recently, the Council just produced issued a resolution that was submitted to Congress and the President to hear. However, recent amendents to the Constitution had actually gave the Counil power to enact resolutions that can become actual legislation that goes to the National Congress with a priority status to it or an article of amending the constitution. The Council is mandated by the Constitution to meet once a year at least but emergency sessions can be called by the Governor-General.

Biography: Kevin Cotilla was he was born 1942 in Loors and on started out as a State Representative of the House of Representatives in Loor for the Progressive Alliance Party from 1982 to 1988 and even served Minister-Governor of Loors under a Conservative - Progressive Coalition government from 1984 to 1988. Eventually, he decided to move onto the national platform of the Progressive Alliance as a Councilor for Loors in the House of Councilors, where he served the position from 1988 to 1994. During his tenure, he would receive his doctorate in International Politics and Law from the Loors State University. As a counselor and member of the National Congress, he presented various pieces of legislation that ensure better rights and powers to the State and Territorial Governments of Leagio. For example, he presented a bill of legislation that officially gave the Karptniz minority in Leagio their own autonomous territory under the Karptniz Minority Status and Protection Act of 1992 with added money support from the Common Government for a period of 10 years to improve the living standards of Karptniz's in Leagio. His popularity would be on the rise to where he would serve as Minister of Foreign Affairs under the Civil Populist Presidency of Alberto Malillos from 1994 to 2000, where he would run for the Senate of Leagio for the now State of Loors and serve said position since 2000. He serves now as a Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign ad European Affairs since 2020.

Fellow Councilors, keeping to my promise of transparency with you. I hereby announce that by following through with guidelines provided by the Four Assembled Powers on the No-Fly Zone established that the Commonwealth has landed troops in the Reitzmag sector of Eastern Haane and have begun the process of constructing a refugee camp for anyone of Eastern Haane that comes by willingly. The construction of the camp is expected to be completed by tomorrow with defenses only to protect the refugees and the people stationed there. The Leagioan troops there have been given orders not to advance or intentionally getting involved in open combat. Furthermore, they have been given orders not to aid the Reitzmag troops that are still in Eastern Haane or any of the factions fighting in Eastern Haane.

The camp will continue to run until the motion for intervention is passed through this Council and the coming Coalition arrives, where the camp will then be turned over to the coalition itself. Furthermore, the President of the Commonwealth of the Leagio with written permission from the Archbishop of Inqusita is sending two old cruiseships that belong to a Leagioan cruise line are being sent to the ports of Inqusita to pick the refugees of Eastern Haane that have already applied for the Commonwealth's Immigration Refugee program. These two ships have been loaded with extra lifeboats and liferafts in case they are going to carry more than they were originally designed to.

Common Nationalists & LUTF in Talks for a Party Merger

Amid concerns for their standing over what will be most likely adopted when the Mouri-Kudo get's the National Congress to pass the reform on the elections of the House of Councilors for 2022, the chairmans of the Common Nationalists and Leagioan United Together Front announced that they were in the middle of possible talks to merge their political parties into one in order to have a more unified Far-Right Front that is strong in the comming 2022 elections. Although no name for such a new party has not been given, the parties will be negoitating an equal standing for the two sides that will eventually become two factions of different ideas within the Far-Right party. In the recent National Congress election last year in December, the two Parties had hardly recieved much seats in the House of Councilors with LUTF having only 11 seats in the House and 2 Seats in the Senate. The Common Nationalists had only recieved 8 seats in the House with no seats in the Senate.

President Mouri-Kudo Wins National Karate Tournatment

During a finalist round of a Karate National Torunament in Tullion, President Mouri-Kudo was particpating and had a tough fight against her opponent. In the fight, she managed win the fight and through this final round, the whole entire Leagioan National Karate Tournament. The Torunamanent had been going on for the past month and a half with contestants from alover the Commonwealth. The President went through mulitple rounds throughout that time, but eventually she managed to defeat each of her opponents and won the whole tournament.

The President of the Commonwealth of Leagio hereby calls on the Kingdom of Reitzmag to step down from its aggressive stance. The President and the Government of the Commonwealth does not support the recent moves that were made by the current administration within the government of Reitzmag towards the Kingdom of Spain and the Empire of Inimicus. In addition, the Government of Leagio wishes to announce that should this crisis turn into a war that Leagio will not join in and support through the Allied Defense Organization. Instead, this current administration in Leagio would instead decide to apply in being a neutral nation through the EU Council.

The Commonwealth shall not be used as a tool of Reitzmag through the AOD to take part in its immature stance over a simple alliance and treaty of economics. If the current Prime Minister of Reitzmag continues with his immaturity and inability to make reasonable actions then he should step down with a new mature government being formed. Furthermore, the Government of Leagio shall demand for Prime Minister Bridges to stand down from his aggressive readiness or his government will face sanctions through the Commonwealth of Leagio.

Alliances Form-Up for EU Commission Elections and NC Primaries / Special Senate Elections to test PAP

As the elections for the European Union Commission come closer and closer each day, another type of election is on the way at the same time that is becoming very heated and competitive within the Commonwealth of Leagio. Under the current poles at the moment, for the race to become Premier Commissioner of the European Union EPA candidate Juncker is in the lead with a seven point difference against his current competitor Calvin Kühnert. The former Internal Affairs Commissioner has seemed to at the moment revive the potential of maybe having a huge majority for Leagioan vote with current poll showing him in the lead having 48% while his opponent has 41% of support within the Commonwealth. However, EPA candidate for Premier Commissioner is going to have to work hard to attain the boat as there is still 11% of the population who have not decided at the moment who to vote for and that 11% will be enough to swing the election for Premier Commissioner in either Juncker or Kühnert; however is still too soon to tell as there is still at least two weeks ago until the final vote comes in with early voting to begin on July 20th and plus there is still time for more candidates to register into the race for a position within the European Union Commission. In the last race for Premier Commissioner that Juncker took part in was where he was able to win the Leagioan vote but not by a huge majority against the other candidates lasts year. Many political pundits that are familiar with the voting attitude within the Commonwealth Leagio feel that it might be possible that former Commissioner Juncker might possibly get the votes needed but he's really going to have to work for it. In the race for the Foreign Affairs Commissioner position, there is only one candidate registered to participate in the election and that is Antoni Reynels from Inquista. It might be possible that he will be the only candidate running for the race and he will most definitely went but the question is how much of the Leagioan vote will he receive as that will be most likely a referendum to his position. In the race for Internal Affairs Commissioner, Kevin Cotilla is facing off against the incumbent Ilmaras Kalessed from Republic of Istkalen and at the moment it seems that he might win as the preferred candidate. Many polls show him in the lead with either either 5 to even 12 points in the lead against the incumbent. However, even though the incumbent Commissioner Ilmaras Kalessed is not doing well on the favorability polls for voters in the Commonwealth, there is still a huge percentage of the Leagioan voter base that is undecided and it could shift the election to either candidate.

At the same time that these elections were European Union Commission is taking place, the Commonwealth is also having its own sort of election that is being very significant and will be a predecessor to the election that will occur for the National Congress this December. House of Councilors in particular is of very importance to the President of the Commonwealth Ran Mouri-Kudo as that is the house and where she can be able have a working government under with a prime minister that she can be able to work with properly. This July is gimme the testing grounds for support to the President under the new revised vision to the Constitution of 2020, the National Congress with the Senate in particular will be having a election for the new seats that have opened up for the transition of all the territories within the Commonwealth to become states with full representation of six senators within the Senate. Before the revised Constitution came into effect, there were nine territories with each having four senators within the Senate of the National Congress. Now at the moment, those territories will be having two additional senators as by the provisions of the revised Constitution and the president is taking a hard campaign with members of her party, the Progressive Alliance Party. In addition, a new state was created out of one of the other states of the Commonwealth called the State of Kyiv which is based around all the rural and urban districts of the Kyiv sector of the state of Huttson. This means that an additional six senators will be added to the Senate of the Commonwealth with three being elected directly at the moment and the every three being elected through a list that the State Constituent Assembly of the new state has approved where the states voters will decide through a single transferable vote on which candidates to approve and will be directly afterwards approved by the State Constituent Assembly.

At the same time that these elections will take place, an additional election is being held called a primary election; this is the type of election that will select the party candidates for each of the constituent districts that will be represented within the House of Councilors. The candidates that will win in these primaries will then face off against their opponents in the districts that they will run for. Another part of these primary elections is for the list sector of the House, where party voters will get to decide on the list-candidates that will run within each state and their place within the list. Number of candidates that will be on each list will be dependent on the following conditions:

• The number of list seats that state or territory will have in the house

• Whether or not that the party that the candidate will represent is currently under an alliance

Before this month there was only one electoral alliance that had formed after the adoption of the revised Constitution of 2020 and that alliance is the United People's Front lead by James Moriarty from the state of Freedonia. After the announcement of the primary races and the EU commission election, new political alliances have been announced by various political parties:

• Social-Progressive Alliance was the first alliance announced this month to be formed with it including the Social Democratic Party and the Progressive Alliance Party, where the president made the announcement in front of live television at a social gathering and charity last week. The president announced that the two parties would form a three-person collective committee to act as the executive leader of the alliance with each party nominating a leader and an additional one to act as a mediator.

• Hope for Leagio was the next alliance that would be formed led by former President Kenneth Lifejumper, who two months ago announced that he had switched his political affiliation from the Civil Populist party to the Free Democratic Party. This alliance not only includes the Free Democratic Party but also the Civil Populist Party's old ally the Eastern Leagio Party and also the relatively municipal level Leagioan Democratic Union. This alliance that formed last week as well announcing their platform that they focus on building a new political atmosphere that shifts away from the dramas that occurs within the European Union and intends to focus on a mainly isolationist and free-market platform. Although there has not been a president nominated for the alliance, former President Lifejumper endorsed the EU-Councilor for Leagio, Lionel Morel, as a potential candidate.

• The Conservative Reform Party, the Civil Populist Party, and the Christian Democratic-Republicans announced this afternoon that they had formed the Republican Future Alliance as more or less a alliance to combat against the ideas of the president, the prime minister, and their allies. Many Leagioan political pundits call this alliance a shaky one at best that seemed to be formed more or less as a catch-all alliance on one goal and that is to block the moves, legislation, and the abilities of President Mouri-Kudo. The current spokesman for the alliance announced that this week an election between the parties would be held in nominating a candidate for not only Prime Minister of Leagio but also president of the RFA.

The President of the Commonwealth of Leagio wishes everyone in the Commonwealth and in the European Union happy holidays as the world celebrates Christmas. When reviewing the entire year, he is happy to say that the Commonwealth had strongly benefitted from 2020 with especially its introduction into the European back in the Spring with the Commonwealth's economy growing by over 1,000% within a short time span of just a few months. Although, this year might end with concern and suspicion over the Caspian Sea Crisis that is still being negotiated at the moment, the President continues to be faithful that a peaceful solution with be brokered in the end by the mature governments of Europe.

The next year before the coming Executive Elections starting on February 2021, the President will be working with the new National Congress to draft a budget for the 2021 fiscal year that will help to expand the economic and electronic capabilities of the Commonwealth. Furthermore, the President will be looking to see if any modernization of the Leagioan Armed Forces will be needed for the next year.

Senator Kerstin Rally in Tullion for the Primer Commissioner Election

The audience in the Tullion Public Stadium clapped for the Senator from Gopen that was running to be Primer Commissioner for the European Union. Senator Maria Kerstin walked up to the podium as she waved her hands at the cheering crowds. Then she began to speak:

"Hello, Tullion. Thank you...Thank you. I am glad to see everyone here today after my announcement to run for Primer Commissioner within the EU. The European Union is an institution of liberty, life, equality, and unity. Values that we all hold, no matter if you are Inquistan, Reitzmag, Leagioan, or even Fremetian. We all want those values to continue to be a part of our lives. Values that, should it be needed to, we will defend with our blood. But unfortunately, there are people within this strong union that think that equality is nothing but an idea that brings out a weaker nation. People that think that men have all the say in the world. Not just any men but men that think that they are atop of the world. Men like Walter Cox thinks that Europe is a men's only region that women have no place in the field of politics. And that men that have to go through issues and that he thinks are weak should have no decision-making abilities. I was recently told that His campaign have come out with ads like this to say that women are weak and should stick to the gender norms that men of the elite tend to describe women."

"But enough about him, you did not join this rally for me to just rant about someone like Cocx. I will let the average working men and women decide on their opinions about him, i thought that i should tackle this for a minute as i come from a family where my father was exactly like him and thought that i do not have a place in outside society."

The people in the crowd cheered for the Senator as they began to clap as well. Some people of the people in the crowd were throwing insults about Cocx.

"When i decided to run for Primer Commissioner, it was with the belief that every nation deserves respect. With that respect, i intent to when becoming PC to develop a program that will give low-income nations to develop through the help of the European Union. Nations like Nofaga have a difficult economic life and need a hand to develop into a better nation in a community of nations. So, in this program that i intend to do, if a nation is at a certain Euro GDP then they will receive a discount at a certain rate on how much money that they will have to give the European Union's Budget. They can use that money to build things like a better healthcare system, improve their GDP, or even better infrastructure."

More clapping came in approval of the plan.

"Europe needs to always provide a helping hand to little nations of this community. Thank you."

As she left, the clapping was louder than before.

Huttson has finally reported its results and with it, the Progressive have a majority of 52 Seats in the Senate. However, the Progressives did not win the 271 seats needed in the House as they were able to win 223 seats. However, the number of seats that they have might be enough to influence the Civil Populists in working with their legislative agenda. In this election season, there were high turnout with 11,938,162 votes casted making a 76.23% national voter turnout.

When looking through votes made through the list seats, the Progressives had the largest share of votes with having around 40% of the vote being cast for their party.

The composition of the National Congress in terms of Alliance will be coming out soon and in addition, the winners in the primary elections for candidates for the Executive Elections will be released soon as well.

It has just been announced that the results for the Primary election for Governor-General within the Alliances and Political Parties of the Commonwealth. In case, there is confusion on what parties are in what alliance then here is the list:

• The Republicans (Conservative Reform Party, Common Nationalist, Christian Democratic-Republicans)

• The Revolutionary Front (Socialist Union Party, Green Party)

• Free Liberalists (Civil Populist Party, Social Democratic Party, Eastern Leagio Party)

These Primaries were unique as for the Alliances, they were combined to where the candidate of the alliance represents all the parties in it.

(Soon to be Former) President of the Commonwealth Kenith Lifejumper

“24 Hours is all I ask. Alright…24 hours of no problems that require my immediate attention before my term ends on the 14th. I got Copala City in flames with bridges suspending its liberty…Houston trying to sneak in a Sanctions bill against Reitzmag with Congress…So what is it exactly?” President Kenith Lifejumper said in exhaustion, who was not having a very good time right now within his own office that he would be leaving on the 14th of March.

“The Empire of Inimicus is calling us over the fact that their own Councilor to the EU Council, Sir Augustus Barrington, managed to sneak himself within our own airspace and landed here in the city.” Minister of Foreign Affairs John Granger explained.

“What’s the problem with that exactly? He lose his illegal porn collection here in the city previously and the Emperor wants it himself.” The President joked as he sat down on his desk and proceeded to drink a fresh cup of tea with lemon juice.

“Honestly, Mr. President, I wish that was the case. Did you hear the news from the Nuntius Inimicus (the empire’s own paper) yesterday?” Granger asked.

“No, what does that have to do with anything on their Councilor to the EU?” The president said as he continued to drink his tea and enjoy it.

“Well, if you had read it, then you would have know that Sir Augustus Barrington has been discovered to have a personal hand in the near death of the Inimicus emperor last year with coordination with other people for sure of Neo-Venetia.” Granger explained.

It was at this moment that the President jumped up on his desk partially and would have standed up in shock, if it were not the fact that he hit his knee on the top of his desk hard, where he nearly shouted and cursed for it.

“You alright, Mr. President?”

“One second. One issue at a time.” The President said in a pained hiss as he felt his knee and was sure that he might have broken it, “Are you that is true?”

“We are certain from what the Government in Tellum has explained by faxing over the details through a secured network.” Granger stated.

“And we let the guy land in the city and all? How did our air-traffic controllers not notify us about it? Because I assume that you were on the lookout for this guy the moment you heard about what he had done before Tellum called.” The President stated.

“We were on the lookout when his plane vanished off Europolis but the thing is, sir, his plane was never detected at all within Commonwealth airspace. We only know that he landed because Tellum said that they know he landed here. I suspect that they have an informant in Tullion deployed quickly not only here but in all major capital airports within Europe. But that will be an issue for the next President.” Granger stated.

“He lands here undetected by us, but seen by an informant from Tellum and disappears afterward. Considering the crime that he committed, I would have no problem with having him shipped back to Tellum for prosecution if we had him in custody. But we don’t right?” The President asked.

“Yes, sir, that is correct. We have our own footage of him landing as we usually have logs in every airport of all planes that lands regardless of the situation, but his plane was not logged at all. The plane then went into a hanger and then we do not know what happened afterward. But if I had to guess, he has someone keeping him safe in Leagio.” Granger stated.

“Oh, that is just great. You are telling me that he sneaks in undetected by Leagioan standards and is helped by someone of our nation. Better tell me that our military has no involvement in it or else I am going to break more than my own knee? Because this is something that I did not want to know before I go to being Governor of Muale on the 14th.”

“So far, no. Looks like it might be another faction besides the military. Congratulations on the first round by the way with 53% of the vote in the State, sir.” Granger said with a smile.

“Shut up. You are not making me feel better, alright.” The President said, “Well, what does Tellum want exactly?”

“Well, they want to talk to you about the situation first and make some sort of agreement on the transfer of the now-former Councilor of their Empire.” Granger stated, “I have the Emperor, himself on wanting to talk to you. But at the time, you were out of the office in Jullien at the Research Lab with Mouri-Kudo; which I do not know how you manage to ensure that Miralles did not hear about and go ape on it.”

“You don’t want to know.” The President said, “Give me his number, and after the call, could you send up a doctor to look at my knee please?”

“Sure, Mr. President.” Granger said as he placed a piece of paper on the desk, “Mouri-Kudo and Miralles will be here in a few minutes for their intelligence briefings for the week, should I have them informed?”

“Yes, tell them that if Barrington is captured in the Commonwealth by the time of the inauguration for one of them that he will be shipped over to Tellum at the same time.” President Lifejumper said as he grabbed the piece of paper, sat back down on his desk, and dialed the number given to him.

Meanwhile, Granger walked out of the office and closed the door behind him.

“Yes, this is President of the Commonwealth of Leagio Kenith Lifejumper, I would like to speak to Emperor Artabanos please as soon as possible.” The President said on the phone, where a secretary to the office of the Emperor of Inimicus answered.

On the steps of the National Capitol in Tullion, State of Tullion, Leagio

"Repeat after me, Miss. Mouri-Kudo." The Chief Justice of the Commonwealth Jean Hilton said as he held up a copy of the Leagioan 2020 Constitution in his hand along with the Leagioan Declaration of Independence. Mouri-Kudo had her hand on top of the copy as a crowd was around her from above and below her. Her husband, Speaker of the House of Councilors and soon to be First Gentleman, Shinichi Mouri-Kudo was there right beside her and was especially holding their 3-year-old son, Conan. To her right was soon to be former President of the Commonwealth Kenith Lifejumper and a representative of the Inicumis government. Leagioan Secret Servicemen were all around the area on the lookout for anything that was spelling trouble out of them. She knew that once she was fully sworn in as President, the next three years were going to be tough as she was now setting a standard of a female leader in the office of President, especially having a divided government with Magic Kaito being elected as Governor-General and will be soon be sworn in as well on the floor of the Senate of the Commonwealth.

She remembered her husband sugested last year that she should run for President. She was against it at first with being satisfied as leader of the Progressive Alliance Party, but eventually she was convinced especially after the Eastern Haanean Crisis and then she won the party primary then eventually the election itself in both rounds with a landslide in the Second Round. But the thing that was now in her mind was the issue of Barrington who was wanted by the Emperor of Inicumis himself for trying to kill him. The past few weeks have brought some insight on the search but the problem was that whoever Barrington knew in Leagio was hiding him very well. She knew that after being sworn in that she would need to talk to the Emperor as she and her husband have a possible guess as to who is hiding him. But the question that she and her former detective of a husband was trying to answer was how? How did the Black Organization, an underground criminal syndicate that is the greatest threat to the well-being of the Commonwealth, know a former friend of the Incuminis Emperor and former Councilor of said nation? Barrington had made many visit to and from Leagio but why? What did the BO and Barrington cooperate on? Did they provide information to the bastard in exchange for something? And if yes, why? There were so many questions running through her mind about the Barrington situation that she had to mentally shake herself to get back to the inauguration. Maybe after the speech that she gives after swearing her oath, she could talk to her husband to see if there was something that they were missing in this case of the traitor that is Barrington. She and Shinichi had always acted like a team when it came to any issues that they encountered, especially when it came to the Black Organization and its band of thugs.

(OOC: Just imagine it how a US president actually repeats after the Chief Justice at this point)

"I, Ran Mouri-Kudo, swear in exercising the powers of the President of the Commonwealth of Leagio to respect and safeguard the rights and freedoms of human and citizen, to observe and protect the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Leagio, to protect the sovereignty and independence, security and integrity of the Commonwealth, and to faithfully serve the people to the full extent of my abilities."

"My Congratulations, Madame President." The Chief Justice said holding out his hand after placing down the Constitution.

Ran smiled as she shook his hand.

"Ladies and Gentleman, the 27th President of the Commonwealth of Leagio." said an announcer through the speaker system installed for the event.

There was cheering and clapping for the news that the people of Tullion just heard. Ran walked up to a stand with a mic at the top for her to give her speech. Her first one as the President, especially as the first female president of this democracy.

“My Fellow Leagioans, today is a day of great joy and celebration where we get to experience the abilities of Democracy……”

Then an gun shot was heard from a distance that caused panic in the crowd as Secret Service Agents were running towards President Mouri-Kudo to get her out.

Mouri-Kudo felt a pain in her chest and noticed that in her breat was a bullet wound there that went through completely. She knew that as felt blood coming out of her back. As the Secret Service people were about to grab and get her out of the line of sight. She looked from where she was standing to the direction of the shot that enter and exited her body. Although, it was not a good angle, she was able to tell exactly where the shot came from by looking at a shop where one would see it as someone holding a boom box but she saw more than that. She could see the makeup of a tiny barrel coming out of it and some smoke from firing it. She glared at the individual that was holding it.

“Why you little…” Ran muttered while somehow having the strength and energy, she jumped from the podium and ran towards the person that ruined her speech. The crowd in sheer surprise watched as the new President that was literally just shot was running to where the shot came from like as if it had just pinked her. They could also see the look of anger on her face at the same time, while her husband and son where following her trying to get her to stop in order to receive medical attention. At the same time, Secret Service Agents were following behind trying to do the same but as well as get her out of the now danger zone.

“Ran…wait…it’s not safe…you need to see a doctor….” Shinichi was yelling not far behind her. Sometimes, he could just not believe his wife in how she just has no hold backs in wanting strike someone that would try to hurt her and possibly her family.

The person holding the boom box could see that they were now in danger of one pissed off female president and began to run until someone interested to see what was going to happen and tripped him, which caused him to stumble for a second before regaining his footing. He ran past many crowds watching as he began making way for the escape tunnel in the sewer, but he was not fast enough as he felt a hand grab his jack then spun him towards a face of the woman he just shot and failed to kill with the shooty boom box sniper weapon that was given to him for his part. The face that was seeing was one of that he could tell wanted to get justice and such as there were no words said by the female president of this country.

Thinking quickly he pulled out his pocket knife that was covered in a special poison that kills in seconds and was about to attack with a cry but he found out that this woman was no ordinary politician of this country; which should have been something he could have learned by seeing her run towards. She kicked his armed by sending it up in the arm with a loud crack, possibly breaking it in the process, and then he wished he had not done that even more as she spun herself around with her own cry by lifting her leg and then she kicked him in the neck sending him falling to the ground in both pain and shock at what just happened.

The crowd watched in stunning silence at what just happened while the press were tacking multiple pictures of what they had just seen. No doubt that it would be talk of her entire presidency. Then came cheering from the crowd of the entire event. Meanwhile, Ran just blushed as the Secret Service finally caught up to her and told her that she needed to be taken to safety.

“Sure, after I finish my inauguration speech first.” She responded as the agents grabbed the shooter and summon a police car to take him where he would be inspected for medical attention if needed as the nearest police station was near the University of the Commonwealth Hospital.

“Madame President, it is not safe to have your speech after what had just happened.” One of the agents pleaded.

“Ran, please….” Shinichi as pleaded.

“It won’t take no more than 30 minutes I promise.” Ran said as she walked back to the podium after the Secret Service extended the distance of the crowd from it and had a Helicopter in the air for safety’s sake.

Eventually, she was able to continue, “I do apologize to the members of this crowd, if it is not obvious from what just happened, I was just shot at with a unique sniper weapon, that this speech is not as long as it was suppose to be; but to calm the brave members of the Secret Service and my family I must shorten it a bit. Now, as I was saying, today is a day of great joy and celebration where we get to experience the abilities of Democracy. Leagio is not a monarchy, not a autocracy, nor a dictatorship but instead it is a republic that hold the values that everyone no matter their origins have a chance to make themselves free from persecution of civil rights, liberty, religion, culture, and peaceful political values. This era of the Commonwealth that we are apart of is heading to a new era with it’s membership in the EU about to be a full year and we continue to see the rise of concern about the rise of evil occurring all around but we hold the power in ourselves to show the world that democracy no matter what forms holds strong against any threat that wishes to see its destruction….”

She continued to speak for about 40 minutes where the crowd heavily clapped and cheered at the end. Afterwards, she was escorted by the Secret Service with her family alongside her to the nearest hospital to ensure that the bullet did not hit anything vital or leave fragments.

Outside of a Warehouse in Vese, Gopen, Leagio

The sound of police cars was loud around the area as they began to surround a rusty old warehouse in the middle of the capital of the state of Gopen. Police cars from the local city police of Vese were there along with Gopen state police, CACT agents and NIA agents. It seemed that for whoever the occupants of the warehouse is that there was no chance for escape. Eventually after about 10 minutes since the start of the siege around the warehouse, a shootout had begun with the sound of a shotgun being fired from one the windows of the warehouse. It seemed pretty obvious that the occupants of the warehouse were not going to go down without a fight and were going to take as many lives as they could with them. Bullets of many calibers were being fired upon from both sides and eventually it seemed to be that this would be what the siege will be like for the next few hours. However that changed, when one of the occupants of the warehouse began throwing grenades and even using, or attempted to use the police were not sure, a rocket launcher on the siege of squad cars. However when the RPG was spotted by police, the army was eventually called in with permission of the president.

The Army was needed for the situation as it was obvious that these people that were occupying the warehouse and firing back and forth at them were experts in marksmanship and maybe even had military training from some unknown factor. The Army eventually decided to send in the Special Strikers unit, which was formed as a unit capable of hitting hard, fast, efficient, and capable of doing special forces tactics within short time spams. This unit would be used as the infiltration unit to take over the warehouse and neutralize the occupants inside.

“Colonel Meyer, good luck.” Said a Officer Santos

“Thanks.” Colonel Meyer of the Special Strikers replied with a handshake.

Five minutes later the team went into the warehouse as the gun fire intensified as the occupants were firing back at the team in attempt to kill them. Everyone in the surrounding listened as they began to wonder how this was going to go. Bullets and flashbangs were heard constantly for the past ten minutes. When the sounds stopped, there was a sudden tension in the air as they waited to hear what was next. Eventually after a minute, Colonel Meyer stepped out and gave an all clear to the police officers. Everyone gave a sigh of relief. As men of the Special Strikers Unit were hauling numerous individuals that were in the warehouse with handcuffs in their hands. Some of them had wounds of various degrees on them. Some had cuts on them while one had a not so serious gun shot wound on their hand.

Officer Santos walked up to the Colonel.

“How many were in there?” He asked.

“About Twenty with various weapons. Some of them were ones that I recognized as Inciumius and Neo-Venetian as well.” the Colonel responded.

“That is not good I would assume.” Officer Santos stated.

“Nope. Means that whoever tried to kill the president with Barrington on the sidelines watching it might have been possibly involved in the Emperor’s assassination attempt last year. But there’s more.” The Colonel continued.

“Does it get worse?” Officer Santos asked very concerned.

“I don’t know. I honestly don’t know.” The Colonel said, “We found some documents and intelligence that is in a language that I am not familiar with. But it will will be sent over to CACT and NIA for analysis as those documents had the flag of Spain on it. And what that has to do you with that country in particular? Well I have no clue at all. Your guess is good as mine.”

“Did we lose anyone in there?” Officer Santos asked.

“Unfortunately yes. We lost a man halfway in there. He died by gunfire from the bastards. But we got more of them than they got a us. You will find in there about seven other bodies inside there. Furthermore, we could not find Barrington in there at all. I highly even doubt he was even here in the first place. If he was no he didn’t stay for long.”

“What about the unmarked vehicle?” Officer Santos asked.

“If it was there though, it didn’t stay for long either. Must’ve drop something off and hightailed it.” The Colonel stated as he grabbed a Spanish made Cigar from his pocket and light it as he smoked it. “But we also found other neat gadgets that they were planning to use or did use early today. Like the RPG you mentioned, it was homemade but faulty which is lucky for you.” The Colonel said as he took another breath out of the cigar.

“Jesus Christ!” Officer Santos said. He had served in the police force for the state of Gopen for 15 years and he never knew that eight RPG could even be homemade at all.

“Yeah, whatever is going on here in this country is some really deep crap.” Colonel Meyer said.

“Of course, Commander…you can talk to individual directly….Right now, he is in Gopen State Prison at the moment along with his friends. It’s about an hour drive from here on a good day. However, we are looking to transfer them to the National Security Prison up in the east side of the State of Condris. Reason for the transfer is to ensure that they are in a area secure enough that the BO does not attempt to silence them permanently before they can really start talking.” CJ said as she handed the Commander the file of the Incumian individual that is in Leagioan custody.

“They will most likely be transferred to the Security Prison within 2 days from now, we want to make sure that they are properly secured and all, commander.” Director Cruz explained.

“But going back to where does this leave Inciumius and Leagio at this point, the President gave us strict orders to ensure full co-operation in getting Barrington in custody where he would then be transferred to your country, commander, and face justice. Moving on to the BO and Barrington. At the moment, we are tackling this through two ways that will either be quick or long. We are looking through everyone that was in the warehouse in custody to see and find out where were those arms going to. If we find out where it was going, then we could be closer to finding the BO’s HQ. Finding the HQ is considered important, because we believe that Barrington is being hidden there and secured there providing his advice behind many layers of protection for both him as well as the organization. In short, we find the BO base then we find Barrington. There depending on the location, Leagioan Law Enforcement or Army forces will move in to take out the guards of the base and then capture Barrington alive……that’s the long way. The second way that we intend to find out more on the location of the base is finding out if they have any cockroaches within the Leagioan military and if yes, who then…We think that they have a person in the Leagioan Military Intelligence sector, because the reaction of the bastards in there were quick….So, what we plan to do is issue a fake order out to lure the BO spy and then when we get them caught, they will have no choice but lure some of the top brass like Vodka or even possibly but doubtful on it Barrington in particularly into a trap where we get them in our custody…” Cruz explained.

“What makes you so sure that the Spy will fall for your trap to expose them in Intelligence? And how will you know that their the spy?” Klink questioned with a eyebrow raised.

“Yes, and what will that message say? And I hope that it is not illegal?” CJ asked curiously.

Cruz chuckled lightly, “Imagine that you are the spy working for the BO in the Intelligence sector and you hear about a order given to the Leagioan air force instructing them to make an air strike on the now known location of the HQ of the Black Organization…..If you knew that, wouldn’t break your neck to warn Gin and the others about it. The first person in the sector that gets up and leaves the room will no doubt be the Spy.”

“What if they call your bluff then?” Klink questioned.

“Well, the question is then how much does the Spy want to sweat over the fact that it might be real and risk a deadly visit from Gin when all is said and done….” Cruz explained.

“Wait, what about the location of the HQ anyways? I thought that you had a operative go in?” CJ asked.

“The thing is all members that work outside the HQ are escorted in with a blindfold attached to their eyes at the dead of night to ensure that the location is secret….The only ones that know the location are the ones inside the HQ, which includes the boss and they hardly ever leave the place. However, our geographic guess is that it is somewhere in the desert but not far in it…too many logistical problems for the size of the organization. So the south boundaries of the desert from the center of Jullien all the way to Muale. Our spy that got a sketch of boss was going to try and get more details on the location for us. But I cover was blown, most likely by the Spy in Intelligence, and Gin wacked her…we never even found her body afterwards….” Cruz explained.

“I assume the fake order will come through my office?” Klink asked.

“Yes, I will let the President know after this meeting….” Cruz said.

“When will it start?” CJ asked.

“If the President approves of the plan and Klink is ready to issue it, then it will happen within the spam of 24 to 48 hours from now…Just before any Leagioan press conference takes place about Barrington. Once we get the spy, they will be taken to a secure area where then we can make some strong and hopefully quick progress on the HQ and Barrington.” Cruz explained.

“Let’s hope it works then….because honestly, I do not feel comfortable about knowing Barrington is in the country planning god knows what against the Commonwealth.” Klink asked.
