After greeting and talking with the monarchas of @Kingdom-of-Reitzmag and @Spain the newlyweds proceeded for the official photo.

After that His Majesty Lawrence, King of Montenbourg offered a dinner reception where they talked with the respectives heads of state and representatives about the importance of promoting good relationship between Montenbourg and the rest of Europe. "May this be a time where love is celebrated, under peace and hope for Montenbourg and the world. Many thanks and a deep gratitude for your majesties, honorable members and delegations, this is a day in our history to remember. And with you my beautiful daughter Victoria with a few words."

Then the Crown Princess of Strasbourg offered a few words. "My husband and I are delighted to welcome you to Montague. Lord Philip and I are so glad that you are all visiting the Kingdom. It is unfortunate that there are so many troubles facing the Union today. But we are encouraged that in most respects our countries see these problems in the same light. For this reason, we have been able to act together in fields as varied as science, research, and higher education, to find solutions or to at least make progress towards tackling so many of the social and economic difficulties that confront nations in all parts of the Union."

She stand and continued "I firmly believe that the strength of our links and many shared interests will continue to ensure that when the @Kingdom-of-Reitzmag the Kingdom of @Spain, and the nations here present, and the Kingdom of Montenbourg stand together, our people and other people of goodwill around the world will be more secure and can become more prosperous." With a glass on her hand she said "I, therefore, ask you now to join me in raising your glasses to the continued health, happiness, and prosperity of the people of @Spain, @Kingdom-of-Reitzmag , and especially to the health of all you present in this moment."

      Thank you!

      31 May, 2021

      Friends,

This morning, I presented my candidacy for Internal Affairs Commissioner; as you may well know our fellow friend Councillor Tusk will succed the position as EPA Chairperson. Before I leave I wanted to say one final thank you for the honor of serving as your Chairwoman. Because all that I’ve learned in my time in office, I’ve learned from you fellow friends.

This party has always been the source of goodness, resilience, and hope from which I've pulled strength. Because the construction of a better Europe is an art. It is the art of the possible, is the history of this Progressive Alliance.

And when the arc of our progressive causes seems slow, remember: Our party is not the project of any one person. The single most powerful word in our charter is the word 'We the progressives".

EMMA GRANGER: Leeson, there was a little girl in Montenbourg who had a brother whom she loved so much. He was gay, and some bullies ones said that loving a guy was and is the most disgusting thing. And every day he cried, until depression came in and took him. That was my brother, Drake Granger.

There are moments in history where we as member states fail to preserve the civil rights of all people. And promote a culture based on hate and not love. I do not agree with that vision.

That’s not promoting any “hyper-liberal” policies, they are human rights. And as a human is common sense.

Surely the best placed to create their own social policies is the nationstate itself and the people of that nation; again based on what we as Union have always agreed upon and defended always.

      Emma Granger's Campaign: Day 4

      5th Rally
      Telum, Empire of Inimicus
      10-06-2021

      alt text

As she arrives at the Plaza Hotel Convention Center, the audience chanted her name. An Imperial Delegation received the candidate. Emma walked up the stage, where she recieved a rose from a Inmician girl called Uma, with the audience cheering and clapping.

A big round of applause took place while some were cheering

"Good morning Telum, the land of our most iconic Emperor of this Union and soil of our current Premier. Thank you very much for this warm welcome to a beautiful city like this, it's a pleasure to campaign here. And Uma, what a beautiful Rose, delicate but not fragile, because her redness irradiates it's beauty. As every beauty it needs protection, such as our Union. Europe's security, is a matter for every single of us, the Europeans to take care of that rose."

The crowd erupted in a loud applause

"The architects of fear have converted conspiracy theories, like the speech of nationalism or elitism, into an instrument for them to advance their agenda. We see this in the speeches of many candidates who say that if your go with the EPA or with Granger you are not on our side, you are either on ours or not...my European friends that is the speech of division. That is the "malarkey", that is the us versus them rethoric. And I as many of us who are gathered here today are sick and tired of that."

The crowd erupted in a loud applause

"When I think about the challenges that we’re facing, I don’t think any one person has all the answers. I think we have to listen to each other and respect each other and celebrate our diversity, because that makes us smarter as well as stronger. But as everything, if it transforms into "I'am the one who will save this, everything is wrong" it has to stop.

The crowd erupted in a loud applause

"Why? Simple, if we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them. And that's why we need tools that help defend what is written in our constitution and take what many in this campaign cherish to say but don't do, take action. Taking real action is putting tools such as the Sanctions Act."

The crowd erupted in a loud applause

"But let me be real clear with those who transform our words; I do not imply, that we should always suppress the utterance of intolerant philosophies, or ideologies; Every European nation has the right, to say whatever they wish, as long as we can counter them by rational argument in our Council. Suppression is not the way."

the crowd erupted shouting and applausses

"And yes, we should together as a Union claim that any country actively practicing intolerance against their people, supressing their human rights, going against the press, and against other nations places itself outside the law. Those who preach and act the tenets of these discredited ideologies and countries only contribute to the continued suffering of the people who live under these cruel systems. And as a Union we need tools that condemn and sanction those behaviors."

      A thunderstorming applause took place

"Repealing the Sanctioning Powers Act would be a huge mistake and, hear me well, it could risk the whole European Union range of action. We all want a better European Union, but we need a Europe that takes action and say big "NO" to bullies."

    • Celebration of Queen Victoria 49th Birthday

Queen Victoria marked her official birthday Sunday with the annual Trooping the Color parade, a traditional display of Montenbourgian pageantry at its very best.

About 1,400 soldiers in ceremonial scarlet coats and bearskin hats marched past the queen in a ceremony on Horse Guards Parade in Westminster. Royals taking part included Prince Philip (husband of The Queen) and Princess Catherine (the Queen’s Sister).

The Pagentry arrives at the explanade of the Bourgeon Palace.

A regiment’s colors embody its spirit and great service to the home it represents, as well as its fallen soldiers. On the battlefield, a regiment’s colors, or flags, were used as rallying points. Regiments would also have their ensigns slowly march with their colors between the ranks to enable soldiers to recognize their regiment’s colors.

      alt text
Trooping the Colour is an old ceremony in which battalions would participate by their respective companies and each color party would ‘troop’ or march their colors through the ranks so that every soldier would see that the colors were intact. This was done before and after every battle. This ceremony has been retained through time and is largely ceremonial today.

Viscount of Downton on the ECJ Decision on Reitzmag "A disgraceful show, the monarch should abdicate."

      alt text
The Viscount of Downton speaking at the assembly of the Athenaeum Club.

Athenaeum Club, Montague.- Following the unprecedented decision of the condemnation of Reitzmag by the European Court of Justice (@Fremet @Spain), the renowned gentlemans club Athenaum, where royals and members of the Montenbourgian aristocracy discuss present issues, made their monthly assembly where the famously Viscount of Downton, Lord Robert Crawley made an statement calling a disgrace for the institution of the monarchy, and the abdication of the King of Reitzmag.

"“We must now inquire what is better for a province or a city: whether to be ruled by one man or by many. Now this may be considered from the very purpose of government. For the aim of any ruler should be directed towards securing the welfare of whatever he undertakes to rule. The duty of the pilot, for instance, is to preserve his ship amidst the perils of the sea and to bring it to the port of safety. And sadly we have seen the opposite of this actions by the monarch of @Kingdom-of-Reitzmag."

He continued "The chief concern of the ruler of a multitude, therefore, should be to procure the unity of peace: and it is not legitimate for him to deliberate whether he shall establish peace in the multitude subject to him, just as a physician does not deliberate whether he shall heal the sick man that is charged to him. For no one should deliberate about an end that he is obliged to seek, but only about the means to attain that end."

"The more efficacious, therefore, a government is in keeping the unity of peace, the more useful it will be. For we call that more useful which leads the better to the end. Now, it is clear that what is one, can more efficaciously bring about unity than what is several; just as the most efficacious cause of heat is that which is by its nature hot. Therefore the rule of one man is more efficient than the rule of many. But when that one fails, it calls to suspend and succed."

The Viscount received an standing ovation and a formal appraisal by the members of the Royal Court who were present at the club.

      Election Night EPA Headquarters

EUROPOLIS, EPA Headquarters.-"Good Evening friends, colleagues and members of this our Eurogroup! I stand here thanks to the hardwork of our Councillors who preceded me. I thank Councillor Tusk for his hard fight and must say that we are working together as one. And that is my message for you, unity."

"I stand today at the crosscurrents of that history — knowing that my piece of the European dream is a blessing hard won by those who came before me. All of them driven by the same conviction that drove my mom to get up an hour early each day to painstakingly dress herself for work. The same conviction that drives the men and women I've met all across this Union; The young people across Europe serving our communities — teaching children, cleaning up neighborhoods, caring for the least among us each and every day. People like Edward Firoux, who's never forgotten where he came from and never stopped fighting for folks who work long hours and face long odds and need someone on their side again."

"People like Poppy Carlton-Romanov, who put those a hundred cracks in the glass ceiling, so that our daughters — and sons — can dream a little bigger and fight for what we believe is also true, a free Icholasen. All of us driven by a simple belief that the European Union as it is just won't do — that we have an obligation to fight for the Union as it should be. That is the thread that runs through my journey and so many other improbable journeys that have brought us here tonight, where the current of history meets this new tide of hope."

"So tonight, in honor of my mother's memory — out of gratitude to those whose triumphs we mark this week, and those whose everyday sacrifices have brought us to this moment — let us devote ourselves to finishing their work; let us work together to fulfill their hopes; And so it is with humility. . . determination . . . and boundless confidence in our Progressive promise, that I accept the position for Chairperson of the European Progressive Alliance!"

EMMA GRANGER: Well, thank you, Touker, and thanks to Pravoslaviya for hosting us.

The central question in this election is really what kind of Europe we want to be and what kind of future we'll build together. Not pin-pointing based on hate but talking based on truths. Some candidates say you're either on one side of his ledger because of this, or you’re on the other side of his ledger if you don't. That's not the Europe that we know. I love our Union. And I know we can go past hate and go forward together.

Tonight, we're going to have a debate where we are talking about the important issues facing our Union. You the people, have to judge us, who can shoulder the immense, awesome responsibilities of the Internal Affairs Office, who can put into action the plans that will make your life better.

EU budget: Who contributes the most?

      Editorial Board

We examined the latest, 2020 budget launched by the European Central Bank unfer the direction of @Fremet to find out how much each of the EU countries contributed and received from the EU.

The Microstate of @Inquista is a net contributor to the EU budget. In other words, it contributes more to the EU budget than it receives back from it. Another ten countries were also net contributors, in order from top to bottom:

      • The Duxburian Union @Duxburian-Union
      • The Apostolic Kingdom of @Angleter
      • Union of Duchies ( @BrumBrum)
      • The Kingdom of @Fremet
      • The Empire of @Inimicus
      • The Archrepublic of @Vayinaod
      • The Kingdom of @Gallorum
      • The Kingdom of Montenbourg
      • The Kingdom of @Spain
      • The Realm of Great @Ruthund

The largest net contributor to the EU budget per capita is as we can apreciate The Microstate of Inquista, followed by The Duxburian Union, The Apostolic Kingdom of Angleter, The Union of Duchies and the Kingdom of Fremet in fifth place.

The session of the Royal Council started. Members of the royalty, high ranking members where in their traditional red robes, and the Crown Princess was in all black, as custom says.

      alt text

The Lord Grantham was not expecting to be overseeing the funeral of another King, he had thought for sure the Queen Mother, now Queen Grace, would be the next one to kick the bucket. The Lord Grantham was presciding in the rest of the Royal Council to assemble in the meeting room. The Duke of Warwick was the last person to enter the meeting room, as he sat down he addressed the Lord Grantham, "My Lord, you'll have to forgive the Duke of Leckie, he will not be attending today. I have been asked to speak on behalf of the royal family." Grantham nodded solemnly, "I understand. I thank you for attending yourself, I know it must be difficult to do this." The other members of the Royal Council nodded along at the Lord Grantham words.

"This caught us off guard, to say the least. So we have agreed to use the plans that had been agreed to for Queen Grace's funeral." The Lord Grantham paused for a second and looked around before beginning again. "The honor guard is being assembled and His Eminence the Archbishop is on his way to Monague. The Cathedral of St. Lawrence, Bourgeon Palace, and the road in between have all been prepared for the processions and ceremonies. Formal invitations have been extended to all the royalty across Europe and the wider world. Heads of State and Government are also being invited." The Lord Grantham motioned to the cards in front of every member of the Council. "Dignitaries will arrive at Montague International Airport, either the day before or the day of; from there they will be taken to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, which is located near the cathedral. The Royalty from @Spain, @Inquista, @Inimicus, @Icholasen, @Fremet will be invited to stay in Bourgeon Palace, if they choose to do so transportation will be provided for them."

The Lord Grantham nodded to Lord Klaussen to begin his part of the speech. "The Heads of State and then the Heads of Government. Dignitaries will be free to mingle before the funeral in the hotel and afterwards in Bourgeon Palace. Everything is in place for their arrival. All we do now is wait."

With that the Royal Council was adjourned and the members left to go about their business. Senior members of the Montenbourg Government and Princess Catherine would be at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel to greet dignitaries, while those who went to Bourgeon Palace would be greeted by the Queen-Mother Grace and members of the Royal Family.

Why does the EPA chair race matter?

      alt text
      Councillor Emma Granger
Montague Times, Op-Ed-. European Progressives will elect a new chair whose task is to steady a reeling europarty and capitalize their sentiment of unity for a better Europe. The chair is the European Progressive Alliance’s top executive.

The post is part cheerleader, part fundraiser, part organizer and recruiter, part public messenger. I believe is our duty to recapture that spirit of common purpose.Because the lesson of our once commitment is clear: if we come together, there is no limit to what we can achieve.

Our future is in our hands. Our Eurogroup has more elected representatives than any other. We have in our hands the power to set a standard of decency that will be an example for others to follow. Let's say it loud and clear: EPA will always stand up for a politics that unites us rather than divides us.

She did not hold back from taking swipes at former Minister of Commerce and CMP candidate Frank Underwood but also suggested that she had a much broader vision of remaking Montenbourg.

“I’m not on the side of the big ones, I’m on your side.” she said. “Underwood is just the latest and most extreme symptom of what’s gone wrong in Montenbourg,” she said.

Granger announces she will not run for Commissioner in 2021

      alt text
      Emma Granger alongside the Eurorail

EUROPOLIS.- The Councillor for Montenbourg, Emma Granger ended months of intense speculation about her political future during this Commission Elections on Friday with a sudden announcement that she wouldn't seek the either the Internal Affairs Commissioner or Premier Commissioner positions, abandoning a dream she's harbored for decades and putting Jean Claude Juncker from @Spain, Joe Biden from the @Kingdom-of-Reitzmag and other candidates in a stronger position to capture the nomination.

Granger cast the decision in personal terms, “As a woman and councillor, I have worked through the process of seeking a better Union for all of us; this time I will continue my work in the European Council,” she said.

Still, Granger, who a spokesman said made her decision Thursday night, positioned herself as a defender of the legacy in Women's rights, LGBT+ rights, on her famously acts such as the Reproductive Act and Child Marriage Act, also remembering her works on the Refugee Protection Act.

The Councillor for Montenbourg sent a pointed warning to the front-runners in her remarks, apparently rebuking her for comments that Progressives were enemies.

"I believe that we have to end the divisive partisan politics that is ripping this Union apart, and I think we can; I'm choosing to believe in a better Europe." said Granger, who, though a crafty partisan, often worked across the aisle during nearly three years in the European Council.

The announcement marked a major shift in the Commission Elections race, removing a potential threat to the Premier and Internal Affairs Commissioner frontrunners, who had been polling behind of a hypothetical Granger candidacy.

Declarations of the Minister of Foreign Affairs on the shootings in Reitzmag

      alt text
Elizabeth McCord on the Foreign Office Press Room

Foreign Office, Montenbourg.- "I am deeply shocked by the attack that killed two people in a shooting in the Reitzmag city of Hampton. This is yet another tragedy, whose fascist nature, if confirmed, is unacceptable in a fully democratic Europe.

It is with great emotion and compassion for the victims and their families that I express our sincerest condolences and our strong solidarity with the Reitzmag authorities.

We are under a campaign, and we as members of the European Progressive Alliance support the fight against crime and terrorism and emphasize that progress in fighting terrorism and crime in the EU must be consolidated. There must be effective cooperation and coordination between Member States with regard to law enforcement, intelligence and judicial matters. This act is an independent situation that must never be associated with who we are as progressives.

Only together, we can ensure a peaceful and united Europe. "

Foreign Office, Montenbourg.- Good morning, everyone. His Majesty's Foreign Office is shocked by the recent declarations of the Kingdom of Reitzmag in relation to the Madrid Pact between the Empire of Inimicus and the Kingdom of Spain. This declarations are an act of agression that our Kingdom would not be silenced. We are prepared to exercise all of our diplomatic options to ensure this agression to stop. And we extend a hand in friendship with our friends @Inimicus and @Spain that we also condemn this declaration by the @Kingdom-of-Reitzmag.

From this moment the Montenbourg Reitzmag Free Trade Agreement MRFTA, is hereby suspended. His Majesty's Royal Navy and Airforce are hereby instructed that:

      • Suspend all business and touristic travel from the Kingdom of Reitzmag to Montenbourg.

      • No aircraft going to or coming from the Kingdom of Reitzmag are allowed to enter the Kingdom of Montenbourg airspace.

      • The Montague Bay will be closed to any kind of vessel with the Kingdom of Reitzmag naval ensing. The same conditions for aircraft will be set for vessels trying to enter the Montenbourg national waters.

Its imperatory that the @Kingdom-of-Reitzmag retract it's declarations and comply with peace within the Union.
