Statement on UEFA response
We are dissapointed that UEFA is shutting down proposals to work with other football associations to deal with hooliganism and bad fan behaviour. We would like them to clarify what can be done to deal with the issue as there is still far too much bad fan behaviour. We will not however be discontuing the fan reports, usage of stadium cameras and security footage within stadiums nor will we be toning down the penalties and plans for travel bans for the most serious offenders nor the sharing of data with UEFA and national associations or law enforcement about individuals likely to cause problems. We believe UEFA is getting in the way of properly tackling hooliganism, racism, sexism , transphobia and homophobia by their constant interference.
We hope when issues occur that the blame will be placed where it belongs on UEFA and not football associations trying their best to reduce incidents to as close to zero as possible and trying to create a safe atmosphere and environment at the stadiums and in our cities for all fans.
