European Heads of Government / State Meeting - Europolis, 6th July 2020
-
OCC: Your head of Goverment or state can arrive from the 4th to the 6th July.
-
Aguilar arrived at Europolis. In his opinion, it was a cold morning in the capital city of the European Union, but he felt confortable with the temperatures by wearing a jacket. He got onto the car and directed to the meeting place. After he arrived, he met with Jean-Claude, to which he talked while he got into the meeting room. Tusk also approached to welcome the Spanish President, making this photo happen:
After that, Jesús finally got into the meeting room and started to get ready for the European Heads of Government / State meeting. He knew it was a very important meeting, and his main hope was to see more leaders. Juncker was getting payed for something, not to host a summit and only get one person into it.

Simon Bridges arrives with the newly repainted government jet bearing the name UNITED KINGDOM.
)
There, he was met by Coun. van Allen who waited at the tarmac. The 2 then proceeded inside the airport and then to a car waiting on the arrivals area.
The convoy began and it brought them to the rendezvous. There, he met Jean Claude-Juncker. They shook their hands and then he proceeded to the meeting room. Then he met the President of Spain, Jesus Aguilar. They shook their hands and went to their seats in which he sat opposite to Aguilar. He whispered to van Allen:
"Fred, do you have the Royal Household's number?"
"I do, here it is" van Allen replied, then he gave the phone number of the Royal Household.
Bridges then called the Royal Household and spoke to the king.
"Your Majesty, we have already arrived in Europolis. I am now in the meeting room and it seems its only me and the spanish president that are here."
"Great, did you bring the documents I told you to bring?" King George asked.
"Yes your majesty, I have all what we need. And of course, I would notify you as frequent as possible."
The call ended and van Allen whispered to Bridges.
"I will have to leave you here, I am not allowed to participate in your meeting. good luck my friend!"
"Ok, but stay in the public gallery. I might need your help later" replied Simon, then van Allen nodded at him.
Simon drank a glass of water just on the table then he smiled to Aguilar just on the opposite side of the table.
-
Juncker shook hands with Bridges, and said to the media that was there: "Here we have one of the new boys of the European Union!" He laughed along with Bridges. "Jokes aside, he's making a great work trying to reverse those bad looks on his country after the Johnson's incident, and I have to congratulate him for that."
After that, Juncker and Simon proceeded to the meeting room as said, where Aguilar shook hands with Bridges. Juncker went back to the public gallery, where he was to recieve the other European Union Heads of Government.
Aguilar smiled back at Bridges and said: "Welcome to Europolis Mr. Bridges. Nice to meet you." Then, Aguilar got back to his papers.

It was the first Europe-wide heads of government meeting Lord Christopher Strathclyde had ever attended, despite his four-year record as Imperial Consul and Executive Representative Leader. Usually, if Emperor Artabanos needed deputising for, it was Christopher's counterpart, the other Consul, Marquis Maximillian de Barrington, who took the honour. However, not today. The Emperor had, in His wisdom, decided that joining the test flight of the first ever Inimician supersonic jet was more important than attending this leaders' summit, and the Marquis must, by law, stay in the Inimician capital to direct day-to-day events: the Imperial Palace could not, ever, be empty.
Despite all this, Lord Christopher was not nervous. He had faced tenser, more crucial meetings in his home country, meetings which resulted in life-changing (and, on occasion, life-ending) decisions. He was honoured to attend though, oh yes. As he descended the stairs from the front door of the Inimician Air Force jet he had spent the last few hours in, he felt proud to represent his country once again, proud to have received the formal and full Imperial Prerogative, to act as he saw fit, as though Emperor Artabanos's mind was inside his.
However, he had never liked airports, especially busy ones, and he had insisted on being picked up by motorcade at the end of the staircase he was now descending down. The roads towards Europolis and its important buildings having been cleared, the ride was a smooth and swift one. Lord Christopher passed time reading up on this new Inimician aircraft, and thanked his lucky stars he was not on board - flying is for droids, after all.
Once at his destination, Lord Christopher was greeted by Jean-Claude Juncker in the famous press room, relishing in the moment when his photograph was taken with the important statesman. "At last, I'm being seen for what I am. A negotiator."
-
Jean-Claude Juncker shook hands with Lord Christopher and some pictures were taking by the media which was covering the European Heads of Government / State Meeting. He then guided Lord Christopher to the meeting room, while they talked: "Nice to meet you Lord Christopher." Juncker said at first. "Member states like Inimicous are much appreciated to come, and even more if they return to our organization. The European Union has evolved since that times, but I hope you feel confortable in it." Juncker smiled.
After that, they arrived to the meeting room, where Juncker left the Lord to go back to the gallery once again while the Spanish President, Jesús Aguilar, stood up and shook hands with Lord Christopher. "It's an honour to meet you. I'm Jesús Aguilar, the Kingdom of Spain's president." He said. Then, he smiled.
-
Simon Bridges then also stood up and shook hands with Lord Christopher. "I am very happy to see you in this meeting, and congratulations for your reintegration to the EU". Then he went back and sat down.

The President of the Commonwealth Kenith Lifejumper arrived to Europolis after a long flight from Tullion with the Commonwealth's new presidential transportation titled Leagio One. As the plane landed on to the runway without any issue, President Kenith Lifejumper unbuckled his seat and proceeded to do some last-minute checks on his image before stepping out of the plane. After spending five minutes doing that he step out of the restroom and told his secret service agent that he was ready.
After stepping out of the plan, the President walked on the tarmac and proceeded to send a message through the phone to the Governor-General Mark Gorge to check to see how it was going in setting up the Commonwealth's first Council of Provinces meeting within the nation's history. After a ten minute conversation, the Governor-General confirmed that the meeting was going to be established. All that needed to be done was for a date to be established for it. Within that information, President Lifejumper wished the Governor-General a good day as he hung up.
"Alright, now that's done." the President of the Commonwealth of Leagio said as he proceeded to head to the airport terminal, "I wonder who else from the European Union is here?"

The plane was rattling, shaking, the screams of the damned echoing throughout the cabin as it descended into Europolis. Katrin Weber felt as though her insides would come out; such was the violence of the flight.
This tableau was perhaps one of the better moments of the past three hours, however; at many times had the plane suddenly plunged, shaking so violently that the luggage carried in the overhead was dislodged, as the most haunting of rattlings came from the wall, increasing, in a sudden crescendo, and, as quickly as it came, vanishing.
The shaking intensified. Now it seemed as though a thousand dying cats were wailing, scratching on the plane's exterior, as Katrin felt her head suddenly being thrust back.
A massive jolt. She felt herself being thrust upward ever so violently, baggage again flying through the cabin as the most high pitched of creaks reverberated throughout the plane. Rattling again, so intense that she could feel herself being thrust back and forth.
A second jolt, much harsher now, one that almost gave her a heart attack, followed by the loudest, longest screeching that Katrin had ever heard in all her forty years.
Slowly, ever so slowly, did the plane slow down, the screeching louder, then softer, louder, then softer before completely dying away.
They had reached the gate. Katrin took a deep breath in, pressing her hand to her heart - beating ever so quickly.
She lifted herself up out of her seat - her legs were so shaky that she was forced to lean on the wall in front of her. Her three aides went to collect their luggage; she followed suit.
She could still feel her heart beating as she left the plane.
'What a nightmare,' she muttered to herself as she sat herself in the car that would take her to the meeting place. 'But really, what does one expect from a sixty-year-old plane?'
The feelings of terror did not leave her, even as she arrived. Gingerly, she walked through the building - really quite an amazing piece of architecture, but there was no time for that right now. She felt very pale, very dizzy, as though she was about to faint, as she entered the conference room where the meeting would take place.
-
Juncker welcomed Katrin and shook hands with her: "Nice to meet you Ms. Weber, as it's also an honour to count with you on this summit. I hope you've had a nice flight, even if there are always some turbulences before landing into Europolis International Airport." He smiled and then laughed.
Juncker guided her to the meeting room, where Aguilar stood up and shook hands with Ms. Weber after Juncker left to wait for the Leaogian delegation to arrive, as they were still on the Airport's Terminal. "Ms. Weber! Nice to finally meet the Eastern Haane Prime Minister. I'm Jesús Aguilar, the Spanish President. Nice to meet you." He said.
-
"Yes, it's nice to meet you too," Katrin said, trying to smile, although it was very difficult to, given that she still had not recovered from her ordeal on the oldest plane in all of Europe. "I really do hope, Mr. Aguilar, that we will be able to get along. But I'd just like to say, technically I'm not supposed to be here. The State Elder of Eastern Haane, Mathilde Comtois, is..but she is ill. So...here I am!" She again shook hands with the Spanish President, before turning to speak with the others in the room.
-
"Yeah, I saw that. I hope he recovers as soon as possible." Aguilar said before shaking hands once again with Katrin and going back to his affairs.
-
Kenith walked up to Commissioner Juncker (after Ms. Weber walked away) with a smile and proceeded to speak, "Mr. Comissioner, it is an honor to finally meet you in person. I hope that the Commonwealth of Leagio will continue to have positive relations with the European Union and the many nations a part of it. I do sincerely apologize that Governor-General Gorge could not be here for the event as he is currently having to arrange a conference with the many Governors of the Commonwealth to determine the many paths of each state and territory."
-
Archbishop Mikaela Kligenberg pouted as the limousine drew close to the building that was hosting the upcoming meeting. She rested her head on Speaker Firoux's shoulder, who was seated beside her in the limousine.
"Awww, I don't want to go. Can't you go for me?" Mikaela complained.
"No. I have a meeting with the globalist elite at 3, where we will be discussing the abolition of all international borders. I then have a meeting with the devil at 5:30, who, as you know, possesses my soul that I sold to him. Some refugees and various billionaires, who are all lizard people, are then expecting me around 7 for dinner. A very busy day," Firoux answered sarcastically in a monotonous voice.
Mikaela lifted her head from Firoux's shoulder and looked at him in shock. "Oh my goodness. I think John Oliver was right about you," she gasped with immense seriousness. "Also, why wasn't I invited to the dinner? I'm great with lizards. My friend Candace had this cute komodo dragon, Shirley, living in this reptile terrarium she had installed in the centre of her winter villa. Shirley adored me."
Firoux threw his head back in disbelief. "Girl. I'm joking. I have a meeting with Antoni this afternoon and then we're going golfing afterwards. Gisela is also cooking her signature roast, which Antoni has been dying to try, so I'll have him over for dinner too."
"Ok, well now I'm really jealous!" Mikaela moaned as she buried her face into her hands. "I'm not looking forward to this. It'll be so boring!"
Just then, the limousine pulled up to the side of the curb. Members of a security detail opened the limousine door and one of the guards extended his hand into limousine, assisting the Archbishop out of the vehicle.
"Thoughts and prayers! Stay strong. We're all in this together. Yadda yadda. Bye!" Firoux laughed as he shut the limousine door and the vehicle went racing away.
Suddenly, paparazzi who had been following the Archbishop, emerged out of nowhere and began haranguing her by asking her intrusive questions and by taking pictures of her. Members of the Archbishop's security detail tried to carefully escort her into the building without causing too much of a scene.
"Archbishop! You were spotted with Queen Anastasia of Icholasen in Reitzmag recently. Is it true that she's gained 3 kilograms!?" a paparazzo asked her as she attempted to evade his presence.
"What a rude question! Shame on you!" Mikaela responded. "No. In fact, she's lost weight. She had terrible, terrible food poisoning. She literally wouldn't leave the bathroom, which was such a disaster. She was also sharing a bathroom with Tommy, and you know, he takes such a long time to get ready every day, and so it was such a battle, and the bathroom was such a mess. But she like, totally lost so much water weight... I think like quite a few kilograms TBH."
Another paparazzo jumped in Mikaela's way as she attempted to enter the building, who was then pushed aside by a member of her security team. "What do you have to say about Czech Slavia building a fence on the border of Malborya to stop people from leaving the country?" he asked.
"Czech Slavia? Malborya? Where? I don't know my geometry. No matter, that is such a silly thing to do. I was once totally abducted during this businesses feud between my family and the Versoni's. They were like, really trying to extort me for money or something. Anyway, I managed to escape with the help of this really handsome pool boy who discovered me tied up in their backyard shed by their pool. We totally made out after he freed me. But he helped me climb over this massive wall that they had around their mansion, and it really wasn't too much work. I think the pool boy did end up getting mauled by this reallllly cute but ferocious rottweiler, but I still escaped. A fence will be nothing. Do you also know how many terrible dates I've escaped by jumpig out of the bathroom window? I once did it in heels, too! From 2 storeys! Now, enough questions, I have a meeting to attend to! Love you all."
The Archbishop entered the building with her security still flanking her sides. As she navigated the building, she was eventually met by Commissioner Juncker, who greeted her. Mikaela exchanged pleasantries with the Commissioner and greeted him by kissing him on each of his cheeks. Mikaela then made her way to the meeting room, and politely greeted each of the heads of government and state. Mikaela then plucked herself down in a chair, took out her phone, and began to text Queen Anastsia with great speed.
I'm in a room with a bunch of really old white guys, not my favourite situation! White and old... totally Tommy's type though. Is he interested in a throuple? Mikaela texted Anastasia, before then putting her phone back in her purse.
-
Juncker shook hands with Kenith and smiled at him. "The honor it's mine. And don't worry about the Governor-General Gorge couldn't be here. At least, someone from Leagio attended to this important summit, which is very possitive for all the European Union and its member-states."
After that, they walked to the meeting room. After Juncker showed Kenith his seat, he walked away back to the gallery. Aguilar stood up and shook hands with Kenith. "Kenith! Nice to meet you in person. I'm Jesús Aguilar, the Spanish President. I'm very happy to meet other Prime Ministers or high rank people from other European nations, as it's a very useful thing to establish better relationships between our nations."
When Mikaela arrived, lots of photos were taken and the described events before took place. Commissioner Juncker added this when the pictures were being taken: "She is the new girl of Europe, and maybe the most elegant. It's a pleasure to meet you Ms. Kligenberg." He said. Then, they walked to the meeting room, where Juncker showed the Archbishop her seat and proceeded to go back to the gallery. Aguilar stood up and shaked hands with her, as 2 kisses were given. "Ms. Kligenberg, it's a pleasure to meet you. Later on I need to talk with you about a proposal I would like to tell you about." He smiled.

Samantha Terrace
Terrace is the Nonétrice for Saint Novella, and at the time of the revolution, the frontrunner to become First Minister of the Rujonau Dominion, Icholasen's largest Dominion and current largest Socialist Republic. An accomplished politician, she was in Whiteford's inner circle which came to be known as 'Whiteford's Onion' as it was the circle of Whiteford's most trusted confidants, with Whiteford, the stalk, keeping the group together. Whiteford's Onion still existed, and includes people like Terrace, Duchess Poppy Carlton-Romanov, who are influenced and who respect Whiteford. When Whiteford was elected as Premier Commissioner, Terrace took over to avoid a conflict of interest arriving which means she is the acting Korojaunu (in exile). However, she has been entrusted with the full autonomy and power that the Korojaunu of Icholasen possesses, with the full power to deliberate on ENAA matters, come to events like this one, and do all sorts of actions.
Terrace boarded the small Free Icholasen private jet and took off from Inquista towards Europolis. 'Yanis' Samantha said 'could you get me a gatorade?'
'Yes, Acting Korojaunu in Exile.' Yanis presented her with an orange gatorade.
'Yanis. Do I look like the kind of person who drinks orange gatorade?'
No, Acting Korojaunu in Exile. I shall fetch you your blue gatorade.'
'Thank you.' Samantha sighed. 'Did you grab my notes from the desk?'
'Yes, Acting Korojaunu in Exile. I highlighted nations in a colourcoded format, to see if we like them or not. If you look here, you can see that Czech Slavia is in red which means we hate them, and Inquista is in green which means we like them. Malborya is in yellow because they're on thin ice what with them beating us in Eurovoice by 1 point last year. Vayinaod is currently blue, which means 'who?''
'Never heard of that country.'
'These categories were approved by the rest of the Nonet, and you just need to sign off on them.'
Terrace skimmed through the list, with a lot of greens, a few reds, and a few blues. She then signed the paper with her signature. The plan then then landed in Europolis and she was escorted to the building where the meeting was happening. Terrace was escorted into the room and she smiled at the ensemble of characters assembled from around the European Union. The only person that she had met as Acting Korojaunu in Exile was Mikaela Kligenburg, but all that was about to change. It was a room that was absolutely teeming with the European ruling classes. It was her job to convince them that Free Icholasen was not a dying cause, with no possible future. She needed to convince these people that the concept of Free Icholasen, and an Icholasen that with power in the EU was sustainable, and she had to warn them to not succumb to any movement to integrate the UNSR into the European Union. She, Whiteford, and Duchess Poppy Carlton-Romanov (Icholasen's EU Councillor) were the last vanguard, protecting the freedom of all nations from a communist scourge enveloping Europe.

Juncker approached to Samantha, Eilidh and Poppy, who he shook hands with. After that, some photos were taken and he spoke a little bit of Nicoleizian: "Eilidh, Poppy, Samantha, I'm very happy to see you are attending to this very important meeting." After saying that, he went back to speak English: "I'm really concerned about what it's going on in Icholasen, and the European Union, specially my Internal Affairs Commission is looking how to solve this crisis as soon as possible, so we can turn your country back to its normal status as soon as possible." Some photos were taking, in which Jean-Claude Juncker appeared smiling along with the 3 Nicoleizian Women. The conversation was being recorded by the media that was covering the event, to whom Juncker promissed some words before finally entering the room for the last time.
When pictures finished to be taken, Juncker accompanied them to the meeting room, where he showed the Acting Korojaunu in Exile, Samantha Terrace, her seat. He left the room inmediately, as he had to welcome other Heads of Government or Heads of States. He was definetely having a busy day.
Aguilar stood up as he had been doing every time an European leader entered the room. His seat was next to Juncker's. He approached to the 3 Nicoleizians, and shook hands with them. He preferred to avoid the 2 kisses Spanish cliché, to avoid any minunderstood. "Korojaunu, Councillor Carlton-Romanom, Premmier Commissioner Whiteford, nice to meet you all. It's an enormous pleasure to meet you in person, as not only a greater ally for the Kingdom of Spain, but also the place some Nicoleizian Royal Household members as Prince Tommy chosen to live. We have strong ties, and I'm sure this meeting will help to make them even stronger."
-
The Nicoleizian party was so grateful for the hospitality of the Spanish delegation. Whiteford was very proud of Commissioner Juncker's event, and she marvelled at how well attended the event was. Whiteford and Poppy then left the room so that Samantha Terrace and the Spanish hosts could do their jobs as intended, after just popping in to say hello. Terrace waved at them as they left.

Archkonsul Kristian Nylund was suspiciously optimistic about the meeting. The concept of the meeting had been floated in European Circles for years, it evolved into the European Assembly at one point which had proven a complete failure. It might have had been the chance to meet with various EU leaders since asscending to the position of Archkonsul.
Regardless, Kristian even as a career diplomat, held a certain disdain for en-mass meetings such as these. The powers of the collective might be great, but the decision making moves a pace only befitting a giant. The meeting was more than likely going to be bogged down in pointless disputes that wouldn't be solved here or minor issues. Often comparable to corralling children, one can assume Kristian's feelings on the Nyetthem Summit to resolve the initial Reitzmic crisis.
Kristian, however, was excited to meet all the commissioners again. Since the election night celebration it had been awhile since they had seen each other. Antoni, Claude, and Eilidh all campaigned with Kristian during the campaign, and they appreciated the foreigners help. For a country as judgemental as Vayinaod, foreigners, especially politicians, tend to elicit a sort of "entertainment value" in politics. Dragan Trympov is one of the most followed people on twitter in Vayinaod for that very reason. Regardless Kristian had plans with lunch with Antoni and Copala this week.
After landing in Europolis, Kristian met with Carita before the meeting to exchange notes. Carita stressed that making sure that Vayinaod should hold back as much as possible initially to test the temperature of the room. The new Korojaunu of Icholasen and Archbishop while new to Kristian weren't new to Europe. Well the Korojaunu was, but who besides Queen Anastasia, Bernie Sanders or Whiteford are known outside Icholasen.
Kristian Nylund like a lot of Vards actually did not know who Mikaela Kligenberg was until she became Archbishop, her brother Silas though was a hit in Vayinaod.
Excited to get the day going, Kristian departed for the conference anticipating to meet Commissioner Juncker and the rest of the European leaders.

Finally, after hours, and hours...and hours...Dante Maximillian's sleek new jet touched down in Europolis. The Falcon 8X fleet was a recent acquisition from Angleter and was proving very popular for state travel. The small trijets were economical, could reach more local airports, and still offered intercontinental range for the long slog to Europolis.
Dante's aides kept him happy during the flight by indulging him with his favorite activity - gambling. Gambling, gambling, gambling, that's what he really liked to do. They spotted him online games with "hot" tables (Read: aides had to pay off the dealers to rig it so the Steward would win a lot). It was a small price to pay to keep him in a good mood. Between allegations of targeted hits on political opponents, mass protests on all manner of topics, and the continually stagnant economy, they knew his rule was failing and the kinds of bad decisions he could make in a bad mood.
Erik Drammen am Rike, the Master of State, was particularly worried about the Steward's attendance at this meeting. It wasn't a secret that Dante had great disdain for small, weak member states...nor was it a secret that he wasn't exactly the friendliest or most affable person in a room.
Erik was concerned that he would waste this opportunity to establish new connections, in a world where the country really had only one major ally remaining and no new trade deals in forever. The Steward might also be completely tone deaf to what other nations were interested in, which would lead to nothing being agreed upon. But hey, Erik wasn't invited, so...all he could do was watch from afar...and scheme...with the Steward out of the country, he gave a certain Councillor Greene a call to come home and...talk...about...things....
The plane came to a stop on the tarmac and the Steward was ready to depart. The arranged vehicles arrived as scheduled and they were off. Dante was not terribly interested to go over his talking points while on the ride, he knew exactly what he wanted and didn't want.
It wasn't long before they had arrived. 6 nervous aides got out of the cars. 1 Steward got out...in a good mood.
