Repeal the Condemnation of the Coup in Icholasen
-
Why we in the Council are engaging in such childish flights of fantasy I do not know. We are not children; we are old and mature enough to know that our problems will not go away when we invent a monster in the closet.
Why, as such, do we pretend that this so-called "Icholasen" exists? I nor anyone else in Austria had heard about it before we had joined this Union. You claim that it exists on an island off the coast of Gallorum; but there is nothing there but water.
I implore you to end this delusion, to stop living in fear, to stop creating imaginary monsters. Return to reality, and forget that you had ever imagined this "Icholasen."
Repeal this, this condemnation regarding a non-existent entity, this condemnation which has no place in the Council.
Eugen Freund
Councillor for the Federal Republic of Austria -
Cllr Tilki was seen filing her nails in the Council chamber just before Cllr Freund decided to speak. When he did begin, she raised a single eyebrow, facepalmed, and replied in return: "I don't... really... get it. This is, eh, certainly something, Cllr Freund. I think your abstract thinking, though - potentially - well-intentioned, is infinitely too abstract for this Council to act on.
Inimicus certainly condemns the coup in Icholasen. It condemns the UNSR. It condemns regimes that oppress, discriminate, and rule in an authoritarian fashion. Inimicus will support the Condemnation and will fight any attempt to repeal it. We've seen it attempted before. We've seen it fail before. We'll see it fail again."
Cllr Hetty Tilki
Empire of Inimicus -
I am very sorry, but you are delusional. This "Icholasen" does not exist. It is plain for anyone to see. There has been no coup, there is no UNSR. None of them exist. How could they exist - those involved do not exist, and the "island of Icholasen" does not, either.
We cannot allow a condemnation pertaining to an imaginary situation and an imaginary country continue to exist in this Council, nor can we continue to acknowledge that these figments of our imagination exist.
Eugen Freund
Councillor for the Federal Republic of Austria -
Councillor Freund, if I may ask a question— well, three questions:
Does Fremet exist?
How do you explain the decade of occupation, millions of deaths, and a subsequent cold war that raged on for the better part of a century?
Are you saying that the memory of Europe is so corrupted, so twisted, that we are misrepresenting, misremembering such significant events due to some unknown?
Charles Michel
Councilor for the Kingdom of Fremet -
Now I may personally disagree with my colleague councillor Freund on some minor details, like for example the existence of Icholasen, but I do recognize this proposition as very beneficial for the EU as a whole and therefore will support it
Václav Kohout
Councillor for the Democratic Republic of Czech Slavia -
Not again, please. Just not again. Said Tusk. He kept silent for 15 seconds
Now seriously, this is like the history of one of the Inquistan Bestsellers in Spain, called "The Existance of Mennrimiak". Those Scientifics deny that Mennrimiak exists and they justify their answers, but it's clear Mennrimiak exists, same does Icholasen as a country and as an Island, but seems like Austrians are negationist over this matter. The island, for those that doesn't know, it's occupied, but this Council keeps wasting time of this motions to repeal the Condemnation. I think we were clear many times, why do we need to come over?
Oh, and Councillor Freund, I wanted to ask you something, because you have left some doubts on my mind which isn't as phylosophical as yours and is under your intelligence. Does Spain exist? Does Europe itself exist? Or are we just trapped on an universe where we don't exist and we are being controlled by somebody? I would like to know your opinion on the matter, so we can have a funny debate while we lose our time with this. Thank you very much.
Donald D. Tusk
Councillor for Spain -
There is a presence in the room with us; a presence that I have heard whispering into my ear, into all of our ears.
It is not real, however. We have simply imagined it. It claims itself to be named "Charles Michel," claims that Fremet has been through an occupation by this imaginary country; but it is not real. I am not even sure whether Fremet is even a member of this Union.
Ignore this figment of your, of our imagination. If you ignore it, it will disappear. We must enter reality from our existence tortured by our imagination, and discard all that is false that we believe to be real.
Eugen Freund
Councillor for the Federal Republic of Austria -
"The figment of my imagination has passed; I have let it go. Charles Michel is no more.
I would also like to answer the questions posed by Councillor Tusk.
Spain exists, Europe exists; as for your third question, that is certainly a possibility."Freund blinked four times, stopped, blinked again, stopped, blinked once, closed his eyes for about four seconds, blinked twice, stopped, blinked once, closed his eyes for four seconds, opened them, closed them again, and blinked again.

With the temporary insanity of President Van der Bellen, I am now thankfully free to speak my thoughts. The man had threatened me with assassination if I had not said the insane things that I had said, done that which I did.
But I believe that a repeal is still necessary. The Condemnation as it stands has been used as an excuse to take what rights the Nicoleizian people still have, in the eyes of most in this Council, away for the purpose of ideology, while at the same time fervently, almost crazily, supporting a regime that is essentially a protectorate now.
As an aside, I am now seriously worried that we are in fact trapped in a universe where we do not exist and are controlled by somebody. It is the only way to explain such things as the sudden craziness of van der Bellen, the insanity in Eastern Haane, the bizarre actions of the UNSR, which include the banning of the Sims 4, the discovery of Atlantis, which by all accounts was meant to be a symbol for the power of the pagan Greek gods, the obsession of Whiteford and those around her with onions....
Eugen Freund
Councillor for the Federal Republic of Austria -
Debate on this motion will continue until 21:45 GMT on October 8th, 2020.
Well, that was quite the interesting spectacle. Anyway, I've laid out my thoughts on this topic quite extensively through two separate debates, and my opinion hasn't changed personally. I am quite against this motion.
Edward Firoux
Council Speaker and Councillor for Inquista -
Well, thank god we know you are not crazy, I was just about to call my personal escort! Tusk laughed a bit
Anyway Councillor Freund, I think this repeal is not necessary, the European Council has proven it's not worth the time to submit this motions anymore as that Condemnation had lot of support in the past during the 2 repeal proposals and still has support. I think that the Union of Nocileizian Soviet Republics has done bad things and we shall not repeal but enforce this condemnation.
And about your reflexion about being trapped in a universe where we do not exist and are controlled by somebody, I think that is just craziness and I just said that because I thought you were extremely crazy, but you have proven you are not so don't give more wings to that idea, is just something that has come into my mind, nothing else.
Donald D. Tusk
Councillor for Spain -
Personally, I do not wish to leave the UNSR without a condemnation. I simply believe that the current condemnation is flawed enough to merit complete replacement. Certainly, I could simply propose an amendment to the original condemnation; but that, to me, feels disingenuous.
I promise this body that I will, by at the very most at the end of voting, release a the text of the new condemnation I am currently writing. If asked, I will release a draft, once I feel that it is at a point where its purpose is clear.
Eugen Freund
Councillor for the Federal Republic of Austria -
We should enforce this condemnation; our country understands that the Union of Nicolezian Soviet Republics is a threat to our Union and we will not vote to repeal this.
On this Councillor Freund, we don't agree.
Emma Granger
Councillor of Montenbourg -
Upon further consideration, I am withdrawing this repeal. In its place, an amendment will be proposed.
Eugen Freund
Councillor for the Federal Republic of Austria -
This repeal motion has been formally withdrawn from consideration, and therefore debate on the matter has now concluded.
Edward Firoux
Council Speaker and Councillor for Inquista
