Discussion on banning Istkalen European Councillour from the Council and suspension of from the EU of Istkalen
-
(OOC: Everything written here is a complete lie).
As a representative of my nation, I really must clarify that you are entirely misunderstanding the situation in Istkalen. No rights have been violated; no war has been declared. Everything that you are saying is nonsensical.
All the people of Istkalen, all the foreigners in it, are perfectly free. They may speak as they wish, may protest as they wish. Our Head of State has seized power, that is true - but through perfectly constitutional means. She has done nothing except to ensure the security and safety of the people in troubling times.
The news outlet established by the state in this period of guardianship and transition does, of course, seem quite extreme at times. I assure you, nothing written in it, nor any of our government announcements, are as such. When we speak of the consuming of the flesh of our enemies, we are not, in fact, actually consuming their flesh; it is a simple metaphor. The same goes for killing, and for the threat of death repeated constantly in government announcements that to you must seem extreme.
Some people, mostly liars, have attempted to claim that various atrocities are going on in our country. Everything is fabricated. There are also reports of a declaration of war. The announcement made by the government is purely metaphorical in nature; if any invasion has occurred, it has occurred because of some crazed general, who we must try to get control of if, in fact, any invasion or offensive has been launched.
I really hope that this does assure you.
Milrakas Ikoszer
Councillor for the Federation of Istkalen -
I do not trust any of your words Coun Ikoszer. First of all, I have been monitoring the situation and had been informed that there had already been crossings to the border and battles happening in the mountains. And yet, you are here speaking that there are some liars in your country, when you right now have made a statement that is extremely untrue. And with what your country is doing, lives would be risked and many could die. So I urge that my colleagues take action and prevent any representative from the Federation of Istkalen from participating in the Council so that only the truth will be heard in this chamber.
Yuridiana Yahontov
Interim Deputy Councilor, Kingdom of Reitzmag -
Interim Councillor Yahontov, everything I have said is true. If there have been crossings in your country, they are the work of rogue generals, and the Government of the Federation will deal with them promptly, following an investigation as to see whether the allegations you have made are true.
Milrakas Ikoszer
Councillor for the Federation of Istkalen -
Coun. Iksozer, I urge you to tell the truth unless you want me to provide photographic evidences of Istkalenian Armed Forces crossing the border in uniform. The flag of Istkalen displayed proudly, some officers had been captured but the situation had not stopped. So, this cannot be the work of just rogue generals that ordered thousands of their men to march into Reitzmag as an act of war.
Yuridiana Yahontov
Interim Deputy Councilor, Kingdom of Reitzmag -
Provide your evidence. Regardless of what these rogue generals pretend to be, they are still rogue, and the Federation can prove that.
Milrakas Ikoszer
Councillor for the Federation of Istkalen -
Flag badge removed from a soldier's uniform
Istkalenian Soldiers where the flags were recovered
Istkalenian flag recovered from a captured officerThese are pictures of the evidences they have sent me to provide the Council. All these therefore show that there is real battle and that the councilor from Istkalen is being dishonest.
Yuridiana Yahontov
Interim Deputy Councilor, Kingdom of Reitzmag -
The Empire of Inimicus supports Speaker Michel's proposal for the Premier Commissioner to file a formal petition calling for membership suspension of Istkalen from the European Union, this being the only correct and legal, as well as consequential, approach to this critical issue.
Nicholas Benfield
Empire of Inimicus -
The Kingdom of Montenbourg joins the call of Inimicus and supports Speaker Michel's proposal for the Premier Commissioner to file a formal petition calling for membership suspension of Istkalen from the European Union, this being the only correct and legal, as well as consequential, approach to this critical issue.
Also I believe that also this is one of the reasons of the Sanctions Act; we really need mechanisms that stops this nonsense. The inhumanity presented here is a precedent of why we need more central powers to take action.
Emma Granger
Councillor of Montenbourg -
The Kingdom of Spain obviously condemns these acts from Istkalen and supports any proportional response to the conflict by any of the nations affected by it. Still, from the Spanish Government we see this as a joke we don't need to care about. We all knew that Istkalen was a crazy nation, such as Eastern Haane or the Union of Syndicates, even Austria. We are actually pretty used to these kind of nations in the European Union and still we do nothing to avoid it.
At the moment I can agree on the terms proportional answer is being given, but what's going to happen next? Will we have another massive occupation like the one we had in Eastern Haane time ago from the very same country, without asking the locals? I would like to propose something if Reitzmag ends up believing an occupation is necessary: I think the best Reitzmag could do would be an agreement between Istkalen's Government, the locals and theirselves in order to set a protectorate with certain measures. I hope Cllr. Yahontov the best of luck on this conflict, as I offer Spanish mediation in order to achieve a peace agreement and I hope my suggestions are taken into consideration.
About the purpose of this discussion, I agree on giving countries or people 2nd chances. Istkalen mustn't be an excemption to the rule. I will be against any EU suspension on Istkalen or in the Council, because it's not ita citizens fault, but their crazy poloiticians'.
Donald Tusk
Deputy Speaker and Councillor for Spain -
This is not about giving nations second chances but ensuring the safety of this chamber and its functioning. I too feel sad for the domestic victims of this terrorist government that has took over but we cannot risk the security and functioning of the chamber. The last time we did nothing people died in this chamber and many more were injured and many nations left without their main councillours. Sadly in this instance the needs of the many outweigh one nations need for a councillour. I know thats sad to say but its the truth.
James Mizrachi-Roscoe , Councillour for United Duchies
-
Well Councillor Mizrachi-Roscoe, if this is about "ensuring the safety and fuctioning of the European Council", why are you asking the Chamber on this discussion to suspend Istkalen from the European Union? Then the whole proposed matter it's non-sensical in my opinion. Istkalen shall not be denied a voice on the chamber, nor in the European Union. And it's clear many here don't feel sorry if you want to kick a whole country out because of their insane politicians, who deserve to be jailed instead of being free and going around Istkalen from one side to another.
Donald Tusk
Deputy Speaker and Councillor for Spain -
I'd like to thank the European Council for supporting us in this battle against the insanity of the Istkalenian Government. As of now, we'd like to assure you that the Armed Forces are doing their best to minimize civilian casualties. They, in fact, also give proper care to the prisoners of war that they captured. I have only been informed of those information, they told me that other information are classified for the moment to prevent problems as they operate in Istkalen. But one thing had been clear, the Istkalenian Government remains hostile and insane. They have surrendered to all EU nations, but still are not ending their hostility to Reitzmag after killing about 43 soldiers in an attempt to attack Reitzmag. They pillaged a small town, and some of the people were beaten. Therefore, I believe that Reitzmag is doing what is necessary to stop these situations from happening again. And we want to let other nations know what happens to countries with insane hostile leaders. But, we assure that our actions are not to eradicate the entire country, our main goal is to reshape it to something that isn't insane.
I would also like to let the Council know that I would be here to report any information that I had been allowed to inform the public about. And as of now, that is the only information I had been informed with.
Yuridiana Yahontov
Interim Deputy Councilor, Kingdom of Reitzmag -
The Ruthenish government supports Reitzmag and Vayinoad in its efforts to neutralize this rogue regime. It is clear that the Social Democratic Party in Istkalen was well beyond reforming when it attacked other EU nations. During this time, I believe it is important for this region to stand united in its common goal to promote national sovereignty, which the Regime took away from the people of Istkalen. The Ruthenish Government hopes that once the Transitional Authorities have done their duty and Istkalen is pacified, that the two powers will transfer all authority to a new democratic government in Istkalen in coordination with the European Union. We look forward to be working with the new government whenever they may take up the mantle of governing a liberated Istkalen. Our thoughts are currently with all those who were victims of this war and hope that it is brought to a swift end for the sake of Europe.
Tony Odhinazen
EU Councilor, Ruthund -
I curiously agree with Concillor Yahontov; and we remember that Reitzmag is not alone in this fight. As Her Majesty's Government has authorize has authorize we stay together in this.
Emma Granger
Councillor for Montenbourg -
Councillor Yahontov, you are nothing more than a liar. The Government of Istkalen has made every gram of information available to the public regarding the illegal undertaking of former General Virkonas and her collaborators in government, all of whom have been detained, unlike the Government of Reitzmag, which sees it fit as to conceal everything from the public that makes it look as how it truly is.
Virkonas, and the former Minister of Defense, who will both stand trial for crimes against peace, the latter for crimes against humanity as well, have denied a large number of Reitzmag's claims. No towns, according to them, were captured; contrary to what the Reitzmic government would like you to believe as to justify their desperate attempts to annex parts of our country, no one was 'beaten.' The illegal offensive at question may have been done with the consent of the former Head of State; however, evidence is appearing that points to her being mentally incapable of her office, suffering, with evidence drawn from her crazed diaries, words, and general behavior before her death, all of which we have evidence of which we can present to this Council.
We are willing to allow for the creation of a foreign-led temporary transitional authority in Istkalen, as well as for the paying of monetary reparations to all affected, in addition to some of the stranger Reitzmic demands, including that of visa-free travel for Reitzmic citizens, but, as has been repeated many times, we are not surrendering parts of our country and our population to the control of foreign powers because of this. Not a single territorial concession will be made.
A final comment: Istkalen is transitioning towards democracy again. I am a supporter of the People's Committees in the territories occupied by Reitzmag, all of which - all - have now been integrated into the central government by their own accord - and certainly not particularly supportive of the government of Kerel, but Reitzmag's aggressive actions against our people, as well as Kerel's democratization efforts, have turned me to his defense.
Gertrude Echteran
Interim Councillor for Istkalen
