KRISTIAN NYLUND'S VICTORY SPEECH:

"Firstly, before I go any further, this election was not about me. It was about the child growing up not knowing who they are, being bullied for it. This election was about making sure that child grows up to have a voice and is not afraid to be who they are. I am no longer afraid to be who I am. This election was the result of the voices of millions of Vards.

To my partner Amir, thank you for dealing with me the last few months. You are my rock, my source of late night inspiration for speeches. I promise you we will go to the Sahara to see your family soon enough. To my father who always stood with me no matter what I said, who I said I was, and what I did I wish you were here with me now, thank you wherever you might be in the heavens. To the rest of my friends and family thank you for everything you've done to support me and the Greens in this election.

To my best friend, Carita, I'm sending you straight back to Europolis. Do your best work, win your election in a few months, I promise you I will fight to get your elected. You managed to help so many of us people with a vision elected tonight you deserve the same.

This one is going to shock her, but to Harriet Copala. Just a few weeks ago we were talking after the negotiations for the Nyetthem Accords. You looked at me and asked "Honey, why aren't you in charge." I was taken a back by that comment. I didn't think I could stand in front of you all here tonight as the leader of our nation. Thank you Harriet for believing in me, and inspiring me.

To all the voters in Vayinaod, both my supporters and those who voted against me. Thank you for making your voices heard. I will do my best to serve, and protect all your interests. To my opponents thank you for running a fair and honest campaign. To Archkonsul Johansson thank you for your service to our country, and being a mentor to me during my time in your administration.

Lorens Henningson and I spoke a few minutes ago, we agreed to form a government for all Vards in this nation, as well as a government to work with Europe. Some are calling it the Camo Coalition, others the Earth Coalition, I am simply calling it civil servants working for a better future. That's the final story of it.

With Lorens at my side as First Konsul, Carita Falk working in Europolis, and so many more in this administration we are going to change this nation for the better. We are going to diversify our economy, protect our workers, open new avenues for trade, encourage innovation through science and technology, foster the arts, defend our country and ensure everyone has the voice in this nation.

Let's all be a beautiful choir for Europe, but most importantly that child in a classroom thinking they are alone. Thank you everyone!"

The results are in and the Labor Party led by Mr. Simon Bridges has won the government seat and will form a coalition with the Trade Union Party under Mr. Larry David, whom which would be the Deputy Prime Minister.

A uniformed man sat behind the news desk.

"Comrades of Neo-Venetia, it is my great honour and pleasure to announce that the workers and soldiers of this country have taken control of the government and the means of production. We have unshackled ourselves from the parasitical regime whose corruption was laid bare in indictments laid by the Ministry of Justice early this morning."

"This morning, corrupt officials were removed from office, and Parliament voted to remove all other government officials from the inherently corrupt MPF, and transfer power to the workers of this country in the person of Tony Moscati, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Neo-Venetia. Comrade Moscati will immediately set about restructuring our constitution along the lines of Marxist-Leninist thought. Workers across the country launched spontaneous strikes in solidarity with the revolutions in Icholasen and Reitzmag, and later this morning joined the revolution and seized control of their workplaces with the help of the revolutionary soldiers of the country and party."

"The so-called Movement for a Popular Front has been replaced by a genuine popular front, including the Communist Party and the Social Republican Party. Comradely soldiers from the Social Republican Army took direct action against the MPF as retribution for its defrauding of the people by demolishing its headquarters this morning. Later this morning, as the former Prime Minister fled the capital in order to arrange a counter-revolutionary coup, comradely soldiers shot down his helicopter and thwarted his efforts to rally right-wing forces to commit violence against the workers and soldiers of this country."

"All military bases have now been secured, and amnesty has been offered to all soldiers from bases that initially opposed the revolution, but have since surrendered. Anyone still engaged in counter-revolutionary activity is advised that this amnesty will conclude at 4pm. After that point, any counter-revolutionary activity will be recognised as treason."

"Civilian comrades are advised to remain indoors until further notice, and to rejoice that the global workers' revolution has spread to our country. Though the battle for the emancipation of the international working class continues, we can glory in the fact that the revolution is victorious here in Neo-Venetia, and that all our efforts as a nation will go towards the good of the working class and the Communist project, both here and across Europe."

The screen faded into a red flag with a hammer and sickle as the Internationale played.

El General was slightly disgusted by his 15 year-old cousin's flirtatious advances toward him. However, he greatly enjoyed the performances the women were putting on. Raini and Normani were naturally good dancers, but even Queen Anastasia was turning it out. While El General eyed Queen Anastasia up and down, Mikaela came and nudged him on his shoulder. El General turned to face Mikaela, who then suddenly jumped up on the bar and began dancing with the rest of the women.

Mikaela smiled and winked at El General. Mikaela was fully dickmitized, so all of Shallon's words came in through one ear and then left through the other. Besides, Mikaela knew that Queen Anastasia was now an exiled and basically destitute queen for the time being, even though she was still a true and legitimate reigning queen who was indisputably Queen of Icholasen. Despite this, Queen Anastasia's current economic prospects made her no threat to El General's interest in Mikaela, and Mikaela knew that.

El General hollered as the women danced and he slapped each of their asses as he walked around the bar, collecting some of the money which had fallen to the ground. El General then walked up to Carlos and Tommy. He gave Carlos a cheeky smile as he approached him. "Mi amigo, it's bueno to see you again. I am muy contento that we're not fighting this time," he joked as he alluded to their battle at St. Helen's Cathedral in Reitzmag.

El General grabbed a drink that was left on the bar table beside him and downed it in one sip. "Maybe we can have a repeat this evening of what happened the last time in Ibiza," El General hinted to Carlos and Tommy. El General then smiled as he watched the women finish boogying the house down. El General then gave a cheeky side eye to Carlos and Tommy and invited them to join him and the rest of the crew who were on the bar-turned-stage. "Let's show las mujeres how we hombres can do it."

He jumped onto the bar and clapped his hands, and announced aloud, "This is song is dedicated to my querida prima Valentina, who is Raini's gorgeous Mamacita and the mujer that made Carlos realise he also likes hombres."

Valentina by Alaska began to play and El General quickly ripped off his military shirt and vest, revealing his 10 pack underneath. He moved to the middle of the bar and began dancing between all of the women, taking turns grinding behind each one of them, before then moving toward Mikaela. He grabbed Mikaela and lifted her onto his shoulders, and then began to bob up and down as Mikaela sat upright on his shoulders and swayed from side to side.

Mama Kikaya: Comrade Laulw Forin has been duly elected Icholasen's European Councillor. She will be heading to Europolis today to make a statement and also attend to business in the Council.

Opposition Offices, Palais d'Aurelis
1 April 2020, 20:00

"What do you mean Ayrault is as popular!?" bellowed Michel Kligenberg. He was in the Opposition wing of the Palais d'Aurelis and the bellows echoed in the meeting room of the shadow cabinet. No one said anything. One finally piped up...

"Well...Michel, Ayrault is pretty straightforward..." began Shadow Foreign Minister Pascal Allizard. Kligenberg said nothing. He just threw a tennis ball across the room. The rest of the shadow cabinet said nothing.

"I cannot believe that the public is so stupid that they would allow Ayrault to be as popular as Baschet. He's half the politician she was," Kligenberg responded. "Say what you want about that woman, but she was effective."

There was a long pause again. '

"You know what, Ayrault has to have dirt on him from the times he was the leader of a union; there's bound to be at least someone in it that hates him," Kligenberg said angrily. "Aides, you get on that right now. In the meantime, we are going to try and find a way to make this government look bad on immigration if it's the last thing I do."

The Christian Democrats continued on for the better part of two hours trying to figure out ways to attack the new government. The switch had them empty of ideas. Ayrault seemed too...normal...for anything to have popped out yet. Even the backbench deputies were tight-lipped.

Guests from around the EU began arriving in Cesae Vauvra, the Nicoleizian capital. The parade route was along an ocean-board highway, with the seating on one side and the ocean on the other. The streetlamps were adorned with flags of the UNSR with other communist symbols. The centrepiece was a giant UNSR flag flying gracefully in the April wind. The Anthem of the UNSR began to play and the crowd and the guests all hushed at the sound of the opening notes. Chairman Jirluchuz, among others, put his hand on his heart as the singer sang a wonderful rendition of the tune.

Madame Kikaya took to a pulpit. She was flanked on both sides by screens enlarging the image of her face. "Comrades, we are gathered here today to celebrate the Revolution and the return of Foreign Minister, Comrade Bernie Sanders. New songs and old songs will be sang to commemorate the victories the people have achieved over the last month. March will remembered as the year Nicoleizians freed themselves from the chains of parasitic landlords and evil bosses. Nicoleizians renewed the country by taking ownership their apartment blocks, houses and businesses. The Nicoleizian people seized the means of production and also confiscated the unfair ownership of housing by a parasitic class of people who steal money by charging people for doing absolutely nothing. The democratisation of the economy is only just beginning and Icholasen's new dawn is only just rising."

"But trouble has unfortunately come to our renewed nation. Bernie Sanders was kidnapped recently, and the memory of this incident stings the mind of all patriots and it is through the grace and skill of Chairman Jirluchuz that the Foreign Minister was able to come back home." Mama Kikaya continued.

"And so, let the parade commence!" Madame Kikaya said. As soon as she said this, jet planes in the sky ejected smoke and drew a hammer and sickle in the sky and tanks began rolling along the highway, with soldiers out of the hatch saluting. Soldiers with hammers and sickles on their caps also marched along the street to communist marches.

Then, the pièce de la résistance of the show sailed out into the bay in front of the seating, it was the Nicoleizian People's Ship, the Zamolodchikova which rolled into view while ships to on the side facing to the open sea launched water jets to accentuate the beauty of the vessel. And so the show came to a close, the Nicoleizian People's Victory Parade was over.

Prime Minister Ayrault had no expectations when he arrived in the Union of Duxburian Dominions. He had only heard about Les Duxburiens, and the idea that he would be the first Gaulois prime minister to make it to the capital of such an influential nation...he was proud of that. His plane touched down at Blackstone International Airport. He was taken with how efficient everything looked. The architecture was not utilitarian, but it was the pinnacle of efficiency, function and aesthetic all at once.

"Mon Dieu," exclaimed Ayrault. He had been studying his notes in the notorious Blue Notebooks, the files that all government ministers carry with them. "This makes an amazing impression."

He was immediately greeted by aides who scurried him and his trusted aide Alize towards the transportation to the famed Federal Citadel. Alize looked at the walls. She found idyllic scenery and art that made her feel less austere. The Duxburians had really taken time to make a good first impression.

"They know our country well, even from afar..." Alize said to the Prime Minister. Ayrault turned to her and smiled.

"They know our country well because they know every country well. It takes a lot to catch a Duxburian off guard," Ayrault said to Alize. "Have you ever noticed the Duxburian tourists to Aurelis? They laugh at how relatively simple our metro is by comparison to the almost three-dimensional chess that is their metro systems. Never mind that they have created innovations that we still use to this day. You see that 5G in the corner?"

Alize nodded, then gasped at the suggestion that the Duxburians made the 5G network.

"Do you see the phone itself, my dear? Apple? They made it," Ayrault replied. "The Government had quite a time ordering phones and computers from the Union but I think they were at least happy to do it considering the Kingdom of Gallorum is at least sane."

Ayrault took a moment to reflect on what had happened in the European Union in the last two weeks. Communist uprisings, bombings of the URR, the resignation of Elisabeth Baschet, the air superiority campaign in La Manche, the peace deal in Vayinaod, the meeting with Fremet. So much had happened. It has taken a toll on the machinations of the civil service, but they got back around in front of the action. They always do...praetorian in how they pursue information and policy.

Upon arrival at the Federal Citadel, Alize gasped again. She noticed the turrets and draw bridge. Ayrault seemed...unshaken. Alize looked at the Prime Minister as the Duxburian aides ushered them towards the entrance.

"Well, aside from breakfast with Alexandria, I'm quite glad I've lost a few kilos over the last couple of years," Ayrault joked. The draw bridge itself was sturdier than it looked, but it made for a hell of an entrance. Alize looked over the bridge towards the abyss and let out a yelp. Ayrault offered his arm. "No worries, ma'moiselle. You will be fine. This is a prime example of Duxburian architecture and ingenuity. What does it project to you, Alize?"

"Intimidation....anxiety..." Alize began. Ayrault laughed,.

"Intimidation, yes. But with good reason. As the old saying goes...the only animal whose bark is backed up by its bite is the Duxburian Armed Forces. Their display in the skies of Dromund Kaas, my god..."

They arrived at the room and stopped at the door. They were surprised at how modest the room was within the bastion. Ayrault looked around and found the Duxburian. Ayrault cleared his throat and then spoke in English rather slowly, as if thinking about every word.

"Hello! Thank you for your wonderful welcome to your beautiful country! As the daughter of Rome, we appreciate such quality architecture. It shows the true strength of the aura that is...eh...how do you say in English...L'Union Duxburien."

Whiteford arrived back in Fremet and reflected on her odyssey in Inquista. She realised that that life was good and she would definitely return to it. But not now. She was happy to start her new life in Fremet, learning Norwegian, how to paint, pottery with a ghostly white Fremetian. Maybe she would even find romance here. You never know bruv.

The Way of the Whiteford was hers to choose now. So she engaged in discussions about a new future, this somewhat familiar future that lay ahead of her in the next few months.

"We will not be committing to that over the phone." The Chairman said. "We have Bernie now on his way back to Icholasen and will not negotiate with you any further over the phone. If you want to negotiate, we will meet you in Vayinaod tomorrow. Thank you for releasing Bernie."

"I'm certain once the Bundestag returns after the election this agreement will pass into law."

Erna closed her binder and stood up.

"It has been an honour to have you here, and I look forward to working with your government in the future. Have a safe trip home— and thanks, I'll take all the luck I can get!"

She smiled as the delegations got up to leave. Erna was proud of what she and her Gallois counterpart were able to accomplish, but sadly she wouldn't have much time to revel in it. She had an election to win, and she was going to need all the strength she could muster to pull it off.
