The economy of Brickston is a highly developed mixed market economy with a strong social security net. Brickston's economy has been consistently ranked as the most open in the world, the least corrupt, and one of the most pro-business. Brickston has low and flat tax-rates, and the highest mean and median wealth per adult in Northern Europe.
While there is business-friendly reputation for global and local privately held companies and public companies, most natural commodities such as fossil fuels and precious metals are administered by state-owned enterprises, of which a large percentage of the profits are transferred to a sovereign wealth fund.
Brickston's economy is often referred to as a "miracle" due to its rapid transformation from a developing country to a developed, high-income economy in a relatively short period of time. This transformation took place in the second half of the 20th century after the reunification of Brickland under the leadership of various presidents. Through reform, subsidisation and liberalisation, the country saw an economic revolution and became one of the wealthiest countries in the world, with high levels of income equality.

2: Himmeruckend (Bridgeton)

Himmerruckend (Bridgeton), Financial Capital of Brickston
Himmerruckend is the most populous city in Brickston. It is the financial capital of the country. Himmerruckend hosts the country's largest metro network (7th largest in the European Union), as well as the country's largest airport, stadium, GDP and road network. The city also contributes to 45% of the country's trade.
Bridgeton (the English name of Himmeruckend) is the largest metro area in the entire Arctic Belt, and handles the second-highest traffic of trade ships, after Doh Tin Mah City (the trading and manufacturing capital of Brickland). Due to westerly winds, it enjoys a mild summer climate throughout the year, and experiences warmer winters alike the rest of the Briekish southern coast. This weather phenomenon, termed the "Briekish weather abnormality", allows for habitation in these areas, and also causes some regions in the geographic south to have harsher winters than the Southwest coast (this effect ceases to exist in the far North, where harsh winters are prevalent).
The city used to be a farming and fishing village during the communist era, but later played a key role in economic liberalisation when it was a part of the country of the now-unified North Brickston, serving as the first special economic zone for foreign direct investment and free trade.
It is home to many major European software and financial companies, and is granted the largest city budget by the federal government.

Doh Tin Mah City hosts the Marius Tower (Briekish Intelligence Bureau Headquarters).
The city was named by Sir Doh Tin Mah, who led the Briekish Revolution to guarantee freedom of speech for all.
In order to increase business competitiveness, the metro area has the lowest business taxes in the country, and less strict regulations for corporations, especially those in manufacturing.
