Friedrich van Allen
Councilor, Kingdom of Reitzmag -
Your requests to have your pieces of legislation withdrawn, particularly when they are already deep into the process of being voted against, is becoming a concerning habit, Councillor van Allen. This is the third time you had done this now. I am very, very lenient when it comes to both Council rules and Council conduct, which I am starting to feel is being taken advantage of. You've not only wasted your own time, but you've wasted this entire Council's time. Several of our councillors made lengthy and well thought-out statements, Councillor Bourgaize had to endure an unwarranted verbal lashing, I had to sort through and compile various complex amendments, and it's all gone to nothing because you've withdrawn your amendment in the midst of the final voting stage because it isn't going your way. This behaviour is both unbecoming and dishonorable, and it's unfortunately a repeating pattern from you.
I shall grant your request, but I expect better from you in the future, Councillor.
This amendment has been withdrawn.
Edward Firoux
Council Speaker and Councillor for Inquista -
Mr. Speaker,
I would like to re-table the final amendment that was already in the vote in order to allow the vote on it to continue. I find the way of working of my colleague Van Allen very unfortunate. So I ask you whether it is possible for me to retable and vote the amendment as it has already been worded. Thank you.
Mrs. Azaya Dubecq
EU Councilor for the Republic of Nofoaga -
Councillor Dubecq,
While I greatly appreciate this gesture, it's unfortunately too late, as we would have to start the entire debate and amendment process anew. If you'd like to re-table the final amendment as a brand new amendment, I would welcome it, but it cannot be done here and now - it would have to be in a brand new session.
Edward Firoux
Council Speaker and Councillor for Inquista -
I would like to thank you for your answer Mr. Speaker. The vote may be stranded here. Nevertheless, I would like to thank my colleagues who voted in favor of the UNSR's condemnation. In the first days I will re-table the amendment.
Mrs. Azaya Dubecq
EU Councilor for the Republic of Nofoaga
