Ladies and gentlemen, a very good evening and welcome to the 46th Edition of the EuroVoice Song Contest!

We are finally back. Ten months after Ineland's Cherine victory, Spain will hold this EuroVoice edition after being chosen by the EUBC to do so; after Ineland's inactivity on the preparations that the competition requires. We apologise for the delay on behalf of the Inelandic broadcaster and the EUBC.

With that said, Christmas is around the corner and the European Union Broadcasting Comittee and Radio Televisión Española (RTVE) would like to welcome you to Málaga, the 2nd largest city in Andalucía. Tonight, we embark into our first as most as possible Christmas-themed edition, as Málaga is one of the most visited places in Spain during this festive season, when millions travel back home to reunite with their families and friends.

However, as we understand Christmas might not be celebrated everywhere in Europe, this edition's Christmas theme is not mandatory, but encouraged. So, if nations find a good Christmas song to send, feel free to do so! But if your nation does not find one, you have nothing to worry about - your entry will still be accepted!
