Amendment to the Condemnation of the Coup in Icholasen

I did not imply or say that the UNSR was a legitimate government, Councillor Plessis. It is entirely undemocratic. I simply stated that we would have to prepare ourselves for the contingency that the UNSR is overthrown and replaced by a new, legitimate and democratic government with a popular basis that is not the United Dominions of Icholasen. For example, let us say that the Nicoleizians replace the UNSR with a 'Republic of Icholasen.' They hold free elections; and what then? Are they recognized or not?

Regarding my second amendment - Amendment IV - I concede to you, my colleagues. I thus ask that it be withdrawn.

However, I would like to address what you all are saying about 'Communist regime.' Eastern Haane is a communist regime, in that we are actively attempting to abolish all remnants of capitalism in our country and have made socialism irrevocable. Yet we are staunch supporters of political freedom, so much so that there is an ongoing rebellion against a government that curtailed freedoms in what is possibly an attempt to calm the current political maelstrom. We have held free elections and referendums; in fact, some of our principles of government, including the binding of representatives to the mandate of their constituencies, make us even more democratic in certain ways than your governments. Please stop making these blanket claims. They discredit a great many people who are actively working to ensure that democracy remains stable in Europe.

1. The European Union shall only recognize the democratically elected government of the United Dominions of Icholasen under Queen Anastasia II and Prime Minister Korojaunu Eilidh Whiteford as the legitimate government of Icholasen.
2. The European Union officially condemns the actions by the cabal of military officers, and will not support their any illegitimate government known as the United Nicoleizian Socialist Republics in any capacity. other than the democratically elected government of the United Dominions of Icholasen.
3. Only the United Dominions of Icholasen shall be recognized in the European Council for the purposes of representation.
4. The new temporary territories of the United Dominions of Icholasen, as outlined in the Treaty of Buckingham attached to this bill, shall be recognized until their the full restoration to of all their original territories.

Section 2

1. Effectively immediately, any and all military trade agreements between EU member states and Icholasen the United Nicolezian Socialist Repubics any illegitmate governments of Icholasen are hereby suspended and banned. until such time as and Only negotiations and agreements with the legitimate government as * of Icholasen is restored permitted.
2. The ENAA license for limited nuclear warheads is hereby revoked from the United Nicolezian Socialist Republics and shall continue to be owned by the legitimate government of Icholasen. until such time as the legitimate government of Icholasen holds proper authority and stability over its nation.
3. All luxury goods and services traded between the United Nicolezian Socialist Republics Icholasen and European Union member states and territories occupied by any illegitimate government of Icholasen are hereby embargoed. and Only trade with the restored United Dominions of Icholasen is allowed once restored until further notice.

These are my two amendments. I am for amending the original condemnation resolution, however, I can not support actions that will only bolster communist propaganda, hurt regular Nicholezian citizens while it leaves those at the top truly unharmed. A resolution that is amended to be a full embargo will be an automatic no from me.
